Abstract

The invention relates to a method by which the compounds said in the heading are produced by Hocksch decomposition, starting from mixtures which apart of sec.-butylbenzole also contain 30 to 70 wt. % of cumene for sec. butylbenzole. In the process considerable amounts of wastes are formed which can be used only thermally. By limiting the comene content in the sec. butylbenzole/cumene mixtures to 3 to 15 wt. % the spectrum of the byproducts an usable substances changes improving the yields of the valuable products, in particular of phenol, methylethyleketone, acetone and acetophenon. 12 claims
