Abstract
The device is used in surgery. It guarantees the supply of continuous gas flow after the discontinuation of the high frequency energy from a surgical apparatus wherein the minute discontinuation of the mode of cutting or coagulation can be restored and the ignition of the gas and its conversion into a plasma flow becomes instantaneously, without any waiting for the standard technological limitation of the 1 s time. The availability of a gas flow without the high frequency energy at the place of the surgical intervention cools the tissue in a protection medium. The device comprises a control unit connected to the input for the activation of the high frequency energy of the surgical apparatus and to the outlet of the switch of a peripheral applied instrument for the activation of the energy, as well as to a controllable pneumatic switch for the gas discharge. An output of the control unit is coupled to an input for the regulation, stopping or releasing the gas of the controllable pneumatic switch for the gas discharge. The output with a gas flow from the control unit is connected to a respective input of the peripheral applied instrument. The output of the latter, by the patient's capacity and the neutral electrode, is connected to the neutral input of the high frequency surgical instrument. To the control unit, an input for high frequency energy from the surgical apparatus and an output of HF energy to the peripheral applied instrument are coupled. Following sensors, connected to the respective inputs of the control unit from the device, which also contains a time-following circuit are connected to the input and the output for the high frequency energy of the control unit. 1 claim, 1 figure
