Abstract

The invention relates to compositions containing radical former agents with 10-hour period of semidegradation at temperatures under 74 degrees C and/or ketoneperoxide and at least one compounds with partial structure I wherein Y means -HC=CH-, -HC=C(CH3) or -C(=CH2)-CH2. The composition contains no vinyl- or alpha-substituted vinyl compounds with the general formula wherein R1 and R2 individually mean hydrogen or arbitrary organic residue which, in the presence of the contained one or more radical former agents, at temperature about 70 degrees C and pressure about 1013 m bar reacts with the hardened polyester resin or co-polymerisate contained in the composition of compound with structure I. The invention also relates to the storage of the radical former agents, to the application of the compositions thereof for the hardening of unsaturated polyester resins and for polymerization and co-polymerization reactions, as well as to a method for the preparation of a ketoneperoxide-containing composition. 17 claims
