Abstract

The system is used in the nuclear power industry, inparticular in the WWER-440 reactors. It reduces the initialreactivity of the fuel cassette where its storage andtransportation is facilitated. The system consists of a supportingskeleton (1) with an external wall (a), supporting space (1b),central zone (1c), axis of length (1d), fuel rods (2) and threeabsorption rods (3). The absorption rods are arranged immediatelynext to the central zone (1c) forming a central angle of 120° inbetween regarded from axis (1d) of the supporting space (1b). Inan option the fuel rods are implemented in two ways: rods (2a)having a larger concentration and fitted in the vicinity of thecentral zone (1c), and rods (2b) having smaller concentration andfitted in the vicinity of the external wall (1a).5 claims, 1 figure
