Abstract
The invention relates to a method by which tylmycosine isprepared by the cultivation of strain Streptomyces hygroscopicusZM-8 registered in NBIMCC under No. 2413 produced by inducedmutagenesis with N-methyl-N-nitrozoguanidin on museum cultureStreptomyces hygroscopicus NRRL 3017 and subsequent stageselection. The process occurs under aerobic conditions innutritives containing sources of nitrogen, carbon and mineralsalts. The intermediate products 20-dihydro-20-hydroxymycosinesynthetized from the strain is chemically transformed by bindingto cis,3,5-dimethylpiperidine to forming tylmycosine which isseparated and purified.
