Chirurgische naald.'
De uitvinding heeft betrekking op een chirurgische naald.
Een dergelijke chirurgische naald is bekend uit de Nederlandse octrooiaanvrage 7705082.
De bekende naald is een hechtnaald en is derhalve bestemd voor het hechten van wonden. De naald kan recht of gebogen zijn en kan zijn voorzien van een conische punt, een driehoekige punt, snijkant of omgekeerde snijkant, een eendesnavel of een spadepunt. De schacht van de naald kan rond zijn of iets afgeplat zijn.
Het stompe einde van de naald is voorzien van een holte, waarin het einde van een hechtdraad kan worden opgenomen, waarna het stompe einde van de naald rond de hechtdraad wordt vastgekrompen.
De uitvinding beoogt thans een chirurgische naald, niet zijnde een hechtnaald, te verschaffen, waarvan het stompe einde zodanig is uitgevoerd, dat met behulp van de naald een holle kunststofbuis in een weefsel kan worden ingebracht.
Hiertoe verschaft de uitvinding een chirurgische naald, recht of gebogen, met een puntig einde en een stomp einde, met het kenmerk, dat het stompe einde van de naald is voorzien van een koppeling voor het daaraan losneembaar bevestigen van een kunststofbuis.
De onderhavige chirurgische naald is in het bijzonder geschikt voor het inbrengen van een kunststofbuis onder de huid van in het bijzonder de mens, maar ook bij zoogdieren
Het inbrengen van de holle buis vindt volgens de uitvinding als volgt plaats :
Eerst wordt de huid met het puntige einde van de chirurgische naald, terwijl aan het stompe einde daarvan de kunststofbuis losneembaar is bevestigd, doorboord, waarna de naald over een bepaalde afstand onder de huid wordt verplaatst om vervolgens met het puntige einde via de huid het weefsel te verlaten.
Op het moment, dat het einde met de daaraan bevestigde holle buis zich nagenoeg bevindt bij de tweede doorboring van de huid bij het verlaten van de naald uit de

t huid, wordt bij de eerste doorboring de holle buis met bij- voorbeeld een schaar doorgeknipt en vervolgens de naald iets doorgetrokken, zodanig, dat het doorgeknipte einde van de buis zich onder de huid bevindt.
Daarna wordt de naald van de buis losgemaakt door de ingebrachte buis met de vinger of duim vast te houden en vervolgens de naald door uittrekken te verwijderen.
Uiteindelijk bevindt zich dan een stuk kunststofbuis onder de huid.
De koppeling aan het stompe einde van de naald vormt één geheel met de naald en kan volgens de uitvinding o. a. als volgt zijn uitgevoerd : de koppeling is een getrapte koppeling ; de koppeling is een koppling met een ringvormige verdikking ; de koppeling is een koppeling met een schroeflijnvormige verdikking ; de koppeling heeft een gekarteld oppervlak ; de koppeling is voorzien van een sleuf.
Al deze uitvoeringsvormen maken een snelle en goede koppeling met de kunststofbuis mogelijk, maar tevens ook een snelle ontkoppeling daar waar het stompe einde van de naald de huid verlaat.
De koppeling is bij voorkeur voorzien van een sleuf, welke sleuf het koppelen en ontkoppelen van de holle buis vergemakkelijkt.
De wand van de holle buis kan zijn voorzien van perforaties, hetgeen bij bepaalde toepassingen gunstig kan zijn.
De uitvinding strekt zich voorts uit tot een combinatie bestaande uit de boven beschreven chirurgische naald en kunststofbuis, al dan niet steriel verpakt.
Gebleken is, dat de aldus ingebrachte kunststofbuis bijzonder geschikt is voor het vertraagd afgeven van geneesmiddelen in het algemeen en een anticoncepticum in het bijzonder, waartoe de wand van de kunststofbuis of de holle ruimte ervan dan wel zowel de wand als de holle ruimte van een geneesmiddel is voorzien.
Wanneer het geneesmiddel een anticoncepticum is

blijkt een dergelijk systeem bijzonder geschikt te zijn voor het tegengaan van zwangerschap.
De gangbare bekende anticonceptica hebben een aantal belangrijke nadelen.
De bekende pil heeft o. a. het nadeel, dat deze dagelijks dient te worden ingenomen. Indien om welke reden dan ook de pil op een zekere dag niet wordt ingenomen is er een groot risico voor zwangerschap. Het slikken van de pil stuit bij vele vrouwen op psychische problemen.
Daarnaast zijn er talloze mechanische anticonceptica, zoals condoom, het spiraaltje enz., die alle hun specifieke nadelen hebben.
Als anticonceptisch werkzame stof neemt men de gebruikelijke stoffen, zoals spermiciden, al dan niet van hormonale oorsprong.
Naast een anticoncepticum kunnen allerlei geneesmiddelen worden gebruikt, die geschikt zijn voor vertraagde afgifte onder de huid.
De uitvinding zal thans nader worden toegelicht aan de hand van de tekening.
Fig. 1 stelt een gunstige uitvoeringsvorm van de chirurgische naald volgens de uitvinding voor, met daaraan gekoppelde kunststofbuis.
Fig. 2a, b, c en d stellen gunstige uitvoeringsvormen volgens de uitvinding voor de koppeling langs de lijn II-II van fig. 1 voor.
In fig. 1 is de naald 1, die in deze uitvoeringsvorm krom is, voorzien van een puntig einde 3 voor het doorboren van de huid, voorts van een schacht, die in deze uitvoeringsvorm rond is, maar die ook iets afgeplat kan zijn, alsmede van een stomp einde 2, dat uitgevoerd is als een koppeling 4, waaraan de kunststofbuis 5 losneembaar is bevestigd.
De punt 3 van de naald 1 kan elke gewenste vorm hebben, die het doorboren van de huid zo snel en pijnloos mogelijk waarborgt.
In fig. 2 zijn diverse gunstige uitvoeringsvormen van de koppeling 4 langs de lijn II-II van fig. 1 weergegeven, waarbij de koppeling 4 volgens a een z. g. getraptekoppeling is.

Een andere gunstige uitvoeringsvorm wordt weergegeven door b, die een z. g. koppeling met een ringvormige verdikking is.
Andere gunstige uitvoeringsvormen zijn weergegeven door c en d, die een koppeling met een schroeflijnvormige verdikking en een koppeling met een gekarteld oppervlak zijn.
Bij voorkeur is de koppeling 4 voorzien van een sleuf 6, die het koppelen en ontkoppelen van de kunststofbuis 5 vergemakkelijkt.
Voor sommige toepassingen is het voordelig wanneer de kunststofbuis is voorzien van perforaties 7.

The invention relates to a surgical needle.
Such a surgical needle is known from Dutch patent application 7705082.
The known needle is an adhesive needle and is therefore intended for suturing wounds. The needle can be straight or curved and can be provided with a conical point, a triangular point, cutting edge or inverted cutting edge, a duck bill or a spade tip. The shaft of the needle may be round or slightly flattened.
The blunt end of the needle has a recess into which the end of a suture can be received, after which the blunt end of the needle is crimped around the suture.
The object of the invention is now to provide a surgical needle, not being a suture needle, the blunt end of which is designed such that a hollow plastic tube can be inserted into a tissue by means of the needle.
To this end, the invention provides a surgical needle, straight or curved, with a pointed end and a blunt end, characterized in that the blunt end of the needle is provided with a coupling for releasably attaching a plastic tube to it.
The present surgical needle is particularly suitable for insertion of a plastic tube under the skin of in particular humans, but also in mammals
The hollow tube is introduced according to the invention as follows:
First the skin is pierced with the pointed end of the surgical needle, while the plastic tube is releasably attached to the blunt end thereof, after which the needle is moved a certain distance under the skin and then the tissue is passed through the skin through the pointed end to leave.

In the first piercing, the hollow tube is cut with, for example, a pair of scissors, and then the needle is pulled through slightly, such that the cut end of the tube is under the skin.

In addition to a contraceptive, a variety of drugs can be used, which are suitable for delayed release under the skin.
The invention will now be further elucidated with reference to the drawing.
Fig. 1 represents a favorable embodiment of the surgical needle according to the invention, with a plastic tube coupled thereto.

In Fig. 1, the needle 1, which is curved in this embodiment, is provided with a pointed end 3 for piercing the skin, furthermore a shaft, which in this embodiment is round, but which may also be slightly flattened, as well as of a blunt end 2, which is designed as a coupling 4, to which the plastic tube 5 is detachably attached.
The tip 3 of the needle 1 can have any desired shape, which ensures piercing of the skin as quickly and painlessly as possible.
In Fig. 2, various favorable embodiments of the coupling 4 are shown along the line II-II of Fig. 1, wherein the coupling 4 according to a a g. stepped coupling.

Another favorable embodiment is represented by b, which is a z. G. coupling with an annular thickening.

The coupling 4 is preferably provided with a slot 6, which facilitates coupling and uncoupling of the plastic pipe 5.
