<Desc/Clms Page number 9>

Concerning ear'al in a massive blood group examination, in which ir. Ote petienten series are suddenly treated, the chance of avoiding such errors, which can have adverse consequences for the patients involved, is very high.
In order to overcome this drawback, the invention provides a grading element for samples, and in particular a blood sample grading device, which offers the advantage of keeping matching samples together, such that an interchange between different series is impossible. In the blood sample classifier according to the invention, this takes place during the game, from the operations carried out on the samples to the final pouring of the test tubes onto the so-called determination card.
ULceraard, the classifying element according to the invention is not only intended to be used for the blood type underskirt, but such a classifying element is for the treatment of. Any number of scales, where a mutually incorrect exchange can take place, apply.

As shown in Figures 1 and 2, the plasticizing element according to the invention mainly consists of a set of test tubes 1 which are attached to each other by means of connections 2.
In the first embodiment shown, the connections
2 formed by strips of plastic 3 which are arranged radially on the side walls 4 of the test tubes 1 and which extend longitudinally along the longitudinal direction of the latter.
The strips 3 are provided with breaking or tearing edges which are formed by weakenings 5 which, according to the illustrated embodiment, consist of local dilutions of the material of the strips 3, but these may also consist of parts extending over the length of the strips 3 Perforation.
Preferably, the classifying element is provided with at least 1 label plate 6, which, as shown in figure 1, can for instance consist of a protrusion on the first test tube 1. In progress, each test tube 1 can be provided with a label 7.
The test tubes 1 themselves usually also consist of plastic and are therefore preferably realized in one piece with the strips 3.

The elements used in these connections, such as the aforementioned strips 3, need not necessarily be made of plastic, but may also consist of any other suitable material such as glass, sturdy paper, metal, etc.
It is also clear that "test tubes" should not only be understood to mean those of the classical form, but that in this case very generally this word refers to all similar containers for liquids, and in particular for samples.
Of course, special centrifuge holders can be designed to suitably place the classifying elements discussed above in a centrifuge. For illustrative purposes, such a centrifuge container is shown in Figure 10, it being intended to contain the blood sample grading devices of Figures 6 and 8. According to the illustrated embodiment, the centrifuge container consists of a block 12 of transparent hard plastic, which is provided with 28 holes 13 which are connected to each other. through recesses 14 into which the connections 2, or more particularly the strips 3, of the test tubes 1 fit exactly.
The recesses 14 are provided in both longitudinal and transverse directions in 12 in such a way that this centrifuge container, on the one hand, can contain either four filing elements with 7 test tubes 1 each, and the other. Jd, orw l can contain seven sets of four rescuers each 1.
<Desc / Clms Page number 9>
Naturally, such centrifuge holders can also be realized in all kinds of shapes and designs.
The present invention is by no means limited to the embodiments described as examples and shown in the drawings, but such a classifying element for samples and in particular such a blood sample classifying device can be realized in all kinds of shapes and sizes without entering the scope of the invention.
