1.3. Grâce à la forme de disque plat de l'induit, la caractéristique de refroidissement favorable de l'induit permet un freinage énergique de l'éolienne sans échauffement excessif des bobinages. Cette disposition permet la suppression de la mise en drapeau des pales, ou de l'éolienne complète, par grand vent.
