De taartverdeler bestaat uit een schijf, bij voorkeur rond, waarop ofwel een aantal ofwel alle mogelijke onderverdelingen van een gebak worden op aangebracht zodat het mogelijk is om dit gebak te verdelen in stukken die allen precies even groot zijn ook en vooral als het gaat om een onpaar aantal stukken.
