Abstract

When the bottle containing the liq. is in a vertical position the dosimeter is fixed at the stopper position. When the liquid is tipped the ball remains locked thanks to a chamfer placed at the base of the dosimeter body. During this time liquid passes through an orifice. After a progressive inclination of the bottle the ball is unlocked and descends into the dosimeter body. When the ball reaches the orifice it prevents the liquid from leaving the bottle. The time of descent of the ball determines the dose or quantity of liquid run off. - The descent time is a function of the diameter of a calibrated orifice found on the moving part. At the end of the operation the valve is opened allowing liquid to return rapidly into the bottle. The device differs from previous models in that the dose is determined in a moving pivoting or sliding part. These moving parts may be removeably or not. The advantage of the device is that it is possible to change the dose without changing the dosimeter, only the calibrated moving part.(0/1)

clapet doseur."

metering valve. "The present invention relates to the production of a ball-type alcohol metering device and metering valve. It was found by André Piron,
16 rue Javeau in Chaudfontaine.

There are different types of alcohol dispensers on the market, either vertical (non-drip) or pourers to be placed above the bottle (ball). All these dosers have measurements determined either by a cavity of given volume, or by a calibrated orifice. In addition, these parts which determine the doses are non-mobile and permanently fixed.

The particularity of the present invention lies in the fact that the dose is determined in a pivoting or sliding mobile part. These moving parts can be removable or irremovable.

The advantage of this system is that it is possible to change the dose without changing the dispenser, but only by changing the calibrated moving part.

Operation: the bottle being in vertical position, the dispenser is fixed in place of the closure cap. When the liquid is poured, the ball (3) remains blocked thanks to a chamfer placed at the base of the dispenser body (2). During this time the liquid enters through the orifice (7). Following the progressive tilting of the bottle, the ball is released and descends into the body (2) of the dispenser. When the ball reaches the orifice (7) it prevents the liquid from leaving the bottle because it clogs the interior part of the body (2). Descent time

of the ball determines the dose or amount of liquid dispensed.

This descent time is a function of the diameter or dimension of the calibrated orifice located on the mobile part.

At the end of the operation, when the bottle is put back, the

ture of the valve (4) which allows the liquid to return quickly to the bottle. During a new dosage, the mobile part closes again and the operation begins again. Parts 8 and 9 represent a base 8 in which slides a calibrated part (9). The opening (a) is used to accelerate the discharge when the bottle is placed vertically. The valve (1) opens when the liquid is poured and closes in a vertical position to prevent the entry of impurities during the not using the dispenser.

The cap (6) is used for sealing and the cap (5) is used to fix the cap to the dispenser.

The invention is therefore characterized by the use of a movable part
(sliding or pivoting) calibrated removable or not which determines the quantity of liquid dispensed. Elijah is based on an application of the principle of Archimedes.
