Abstract

The log-splitter incorporates a car-jack, and consists of a vertical or horizontal frame in the shape of an inverted U, made of wood or metal, and fixed to a base. A corner-piece is fixed to the top of the frame. Inside the frame slides a support to which is fixed the lower corner-piece for splitting the log. The jack is inserted between the frame base and support. Two metal springs may be used to hold the log in position.
