"Pluggable cable lining with test electrode" The invention relates to the field of linings intended for high and medium voltage cables and must be used for the formation and manufacture of pluggable and removable linings as they are used, by example, for connecting a cable to a transformer.
The pluggable and removable cable fittings for high and medium voltage cables must be checked before disconnection for the voltage-free state. In a known cable lining, this is guaranteed by the fact that a metal electrode wrapped in electrically conductive rubber is embedded in the elastic insulating body. This electrode is brought to the outside through an opening in the packing housing and can be brought into contact here with a measuring instrument. The electrode is located here between the protective grid embedded in the electrical insulating body and the grounded housing, which
turns, at one of the front sides of the insulating body, into a control deflector located at the
<EMI ID = 1.1>
200 amp, 25 kV connections - from Elastimold).
The known design of the test electrode assumes an insulating body with relatively thick walls and, moreover, provides only small electrical measurement voltages.
Starting from the plug-in fitting known for high-voltage cables, which consists of an elastic insulating body with a grounded housing, a coated protective grid and at least one control deflector arranged on one side front, an electrode brought to the outside being located between the parts conducting the voltage and the housing via the ground, the aim of the present invention consists in making the electrode so that it can also be used for relatively thin linings , that is to say linings whose insulating body has thin walls, but which nevertheless provides a relatively large electrical measurement voltage.
To achieve this object, it is provided, in accordance with the invention, that the electrode consists of an elastic insulating sheet disposed between the insulating body and the housing and coated in an electrically conductive manner on its side facing the parts. conducting the tension of the lining and that the external part of the electrode is disposed in the potential-free space between the grounded housing and the control deflector embedded in the insulating body.
In a lining thus designed, the electrically effective surface of the electrode can be large at will within wide limits, so that a sufficiently large measurement voltage and also a sufficiently large measurement current are available. Thanks to the sheet-like and therefore very flat design of the electrode, it is furthermore established in a reliable manner that an increase in the wall thickness of the elastic insulating body is not necessary as a result of mounting of the electrode. This is arranged on the internal face of the housing and is preferably glued to the latter. In addition, no electrical weakening of the lining is produced by the electrode since the external part of the electrode is located in the space free of potential.
Access to the measurement of the sheet-shaped electrode can be carried out by designing it in the form of a fastener at one end and by folding this end outwards through the housing or on its front face. Thus, it is guaranteed, on the one hand, that the electrically conductive surface of the fastener is oriented towards the outside and can therefore come into contact and, on the other hand, that the contact of the fastener with the housing the lining is only established by the insulating surface of the electrode.
According to another characteristic of the invention, the fastener folded outwards can be transformed into a ring whose diameter is a little smaller than the external diameter of the packing box and which is placed on this packing box. . In this case, the technical measurement of the electrode
is done on the entire periphery of the lining.
Another advantageous possibility to anchor
the external part of the electrode on the external face
of the lining housing is that the outer part of the electrode consists of a hollow mushroom-shaped thickening of the insulating sheet, which is anchored in the manner of a button in an opening in the housing.
The large surface design of the electrode also makes it possible to add to it an indication element in the form of an optoelectronic transducer, that is to say, for example, a flashing lamp, a luminescent diode or liquid crystal. This indication element is arranged in the housing, for example, is integrated into the surface of the lining and is electrically connected to the electrically conductive coating of the insulating sheet. This junction can be made by means of an electronic construction element which adds the relatively small current flowing between the electrode and the indication element and which supplies it in the form of pulses.
By using an electronic construction element of this type, an extended service life of the device is simultaneously guaranteed since the aforementioned electro-optical transducers generally have, during permanent operation, only a service life of a few years. The electronic construction element can moreover be metallically shielded to avoid disturbances by an electromagnetic action and can be firmly connected to a possible metal housing of the lining for the purpose of removing heat.
An embodiment of the new lining, as well as various embodiments of the sheet-shaped electrode are shown in Figures 1 to 7. Figure 1 shows in section a prefabricated cable lining in which the end prepared accordingly a strong shielded current cable insulated with synthetic material can be inserted. The lining is made up for this purpose of an elastic insulating body 1 based on silicone rubber or an ethylene / propylene copolymer, in which a protective grid 2 (high voltage potential) is coated and, on the front side , a control deflector 3 (earth potential), as well as a metal case
4. Between the insulating body 1 and the housing 4, the test electrode 5 which consists of an elastic insulating sheet and which is provided on its face, has been placed in the area of the protective grid 2. oriented towards the protective grid 2, with an electrically conductive coating 8. The test electrode 5 extends to near one of the front sides of the lining and is brought to the outside at this location through an opening in the metal case 4 by means of the thickening 6 in the form of mushroom. This mushroom thickening is anchored here in the manner of a button in the metal housing 4. Furthermore, the test electrode 5 is bonded to the metal housing 4 by its face facing the latter.
It preferably consists of the same insulating material as that of the insulating body 1, while the electrically conductive coating 8 preferably consists of an electrically conductive variant of the corresponding insulating material.
The mushroom-shaped thickening 6 is moreover provided with an opening 7 which is also coated in an electrically conductive manner. The supply is thus established outside the electrically conductive surface of the test electrode 5. The electrically conductive coating therefore continues up to the surface of the mushroom-shaped thickening. In this case, an annular recess 9 has been provided in which an annular sealing lip is formed on the surface of the mushroom thickening. During the manufacture of the lining, this prevents the insulating material from covering the surface of the thickening in the form of a mushroom by contact with the corresponding mold.
Instead of an opening in the housing 4, where the mushroom-shaped thickening 6 is anchored in the manner of a button, the housing can also be provided with a slot developing from
of the front face of the filling and into which the thickening in mushroom 6 is inserted.
Figures 2 and 3 show in cross section, as well as in plan view, a test electrode in the form of an elastic insulating sheet
10 based on silicone rubber, which corresponds essentially to the test electrode 5 shown in FIG. 1. The insulating sheet is provided, at one end, with a neck 11 similar to a collar and which turns into a 12 thickening mushroom shaped hollow. The insulating sheet has a circular stepped edge 13. This circular edge
13 prevents an electric bridge between the lower face and the upper face of the insulating sheet 10 from being produced during the covering of the lower face of the opening of the mushroom thickening, as well as of the surface of this mushroom thickening by an electrically conductive dispersion 8.
In the variant shown in Figure 4, the collar-shaped extension 14 of the insulating sheet 15 coated in an electrically conductive manner is brought to the outside by an opening of the metal housing 4 and is folded down so that the covering 8 electrically conductive is located outside. Thanks to a corresponding dimensioning of the opening provided in the housing 4, it is therefore guaranteed that the electrically conductive coating 8 does not come into contact with the housing 4.
FIG. 5 represents a test electrode made of silicone rubber applied unilaterally in an electrically conductive manner and consisting of the part 16 in the form of a sheet, the constriction 17 in collar and the ring 18 connecting to that -this. This test electrode is used in accordance with the schematic representations of Figures 6 and 7. According to these, the sheet-shaped part 16 is arranged on the internal face of the housing 4, the electrode is brought outside by means of a slot in the metal case 4 by means of the extension 17 in a collar and is folded back so that the ring 18 surrounds the lining on the outside. In this case, the electrically conductive coating 8 is located towards the outside.
