Traploze toerentalvariator
<EMI ID=1.1>

<EMI ID=8.1>
<EMI ID=9.1>

Invention patent
Stepless speed variator
<EMI ID = 1.1>
a wheeled driving axle and a wheeled driving axle, wherein the rotary motion is transferred from one axle to the other axle by means of a coupling mechanism.
Stepless speed variators are known which are provided with a belt transmission. They have the drawback that the straps are strong
wear and tear, which adversely affects the reliability and service life of the variator.
The object of the invention is the absence of straps
<EMI ID = 2.1>
which has the additional advantage that the speed setting can be effected mechanically in a simple manner.
<EMI ID = 3.1>
coupling mechanism can move and move.
To clarify the invention, reference is made to
<EMI ID = 4.1>
Fig. 1 shows a front view of the variator with the axes of the driving shaft and those of the driving shaft aligned. Fig. 2 shows a top view with also the axes of both axes in line. Fig. 3 shows a top view with the axes of the two axes running parallel to each other. Fig. 4 more or less schematically shows a view from line IV-IV in fig. 2. and finally fig. 5 also shows more or less schematically a view from line V-V in fig. 3.
The variator consists of the driving shaft 1 with the floating wheel 2 mounted on it, the driving shaft 3 and the driving wheel 4 mounted on it.
<EMI ID = 5.1>
shaft 3 in a bearing bracket 6. Both bearing seats are rotatable against
<EMI ID = 6.1>
concentric guide groove 9. The coupling mechanism consists of a shaft 10, which is perpendicular to an arm 10a which is fixed
<EMI ID = 7.1>
member 12, the hole for the axis 10c of which is arranged off-center. The coupling mechanism is designed in such a way that the
individual arms 10a and 10b can move past each other thereby preventing blockage thereof.
The operation of the variator according to the invention is as follows:
<EMI ID = 8.1>
1, 2 and 4 on the driving shaft 1 is given a rotation according to the arrow, then the floating wheel 2 and the coupling mechanism rotate in the same direction, because the latter is arranged with the shafts 10 in the holes 8. There the distance between the axes 10c and the center
of the driving wheel 2 is the same, they have the same circumferential speed and the clamping members 12 will simultaneously take an eccentric position with respect to the shafts 10c and will simultaneously clamp in the guide groove 9, so that the driven wheel 4 is carried by the coupling mechanism.
<EMI ID = 9.1>
they will not move relative to the driven wheel 4
<EMI ID = 10.1>
relative to each other, so that the driven wheel 4 has the same speed as the floating wheel 2.
When in the position of the variator as shown in the figures
3 and 5, which position is reached by turning the two bearing seats 5 and 6 about the pin 7, on the driving shaft 1 a rotation is
<EMI ID = 11.1>
driven wheel 4.
The speed of the driving wheel 4 will always be greater than that of the driving wheel 2 and depends inter alia on the distance between the parallel axes of the driving shaft 1 and the driving shaft 3. Only in the position of the variator where the axes of both axles are in line, the speed of the driving and driven axle is the same.
<EMI ID = 12.1>
also serve as a floating wheel.
It is clear that the invention is not limited to what is described with regard to the exemplary embodiment, but that with
multiple versions of the coupling mechanism possible
