"Insulation board for cavity wall insulation and cavity wall insulation obtained by making use of such insulation board" The main patent discloses an insulation board for cavity wall insulation which provides all the advantages obtained with the cavity wall insulations used up to that time, but also the spaces, respectively passages, between the insulation plates and the inner wall are automatically avoided, so that any air circulation between these plates and the inner wall is also avoided and thus maximum insulation is obtained as there is no cooling of the inner wall by draft.
According to the aforementioned main patent, such an insulating plate is characterized in that it mainly consists of the combination of, on the one hand, an actual insulating layer in rigid foam and, on the other hand, a layer of soft foam, wool or the like connected to this insulating plate.
Although such a board can be used very effectively as insulation, it has been found that pressing it on is in some cases difficult because of the relatively large surface of compressible soft foam, wool or the like.
The present improvements therefore aim to provide an insulation board that exhibits totally the same insulation properties as the insulation board as described and shown in the main patent, but in which the resilience of the compressed layer of soft foam or the like, exerted on the cavity hooks or the like, is considerably smaller. is.
The insulation board according to the current improvements mainly consists for this purpose in the combination of, on the one hand, an actual insulation layer in rigid foam and, on the other hand, a layer of soft foam connected to this insulation board.
<EMI ID = 1.1> soft foam, wool or the like is formed by tires.
With the insight to better demonstrate the features of the invention according to the present improvements, some preferred embodiments of such insulation board are described below, by way of example without any limitation, with reference to the accompanying drawings, in which:
figure 1 represents a perspective view of an insulation plate according to the invention; figures 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 represent perspective views <EMI ID = 2.1>
riants; figure 7 represents a vertical section through a cavity wall which makes use of insulation plates according to the invention.
In order to keep the aforementioned resilience, respectively the resilient capacity of the insulation plates according to the current improvements, as small as possible with the greatest possible insulation capacity, the layer of soft foam is not applied over the entire surface of the actual insulation plate but only over a part thereof. , all this in such a way that, with a minimal surface area of soft foam, wool or the like, a sufficient connection is obtained against the inner wall, on the one hand, and this in such a way that any air circulation, or air passage, respectively, from one plate to the other is avoided. becomes, on the other hand.
For this purpose, the insulation plate is formed from an actual insulation material 1 in a plate of rigid or relatively rigid material which will preferably be formed by a rigid foam plate in polystyrene, polyurethane or the like, this plate being able to provide on one or both sides or not. be made of either a vapor barrier or a moisture protection fleece or the like, said insulation plate being provided on the side facing the inner wall with bands of soft foam or wool which are almost completely compressible without requiring great compressive forces.
These bands of soft foam, wool or the like can of course be connected to the plate 1 in all kinds of ways, for example by gluing, thermo-welding, etc.
In Figure 1, it is used for this purpose, on the peripheral edge

10-11 and 12. By placing such insulation plates next to each other, one obtains that, because the bands 9 to 12 of different panels come together, each air circulation
<EMI ID = 4.1>
the air, included between bands 9 to 12 and, on the one hand,
the actual insulation plate 1 and, on the other hand, the inner wall, is confined and thus cannot circulate either. It goes without saying that an extremely good insulation is obtained without the need for great force to compress the bands 9 to 12 against the inner wall and to keep the insulation plate in this condition.
Figure 2 shows a plate similar to that of figure 1, but in which bands 9 to 12 have been replaced
<EMI ID = 5.1> vertical bands 14, are provided between which smaller bands 15 may be arranged.
Figure 7 shows a vertical section through a cavity wall in which an insulation plate according to the current improvements has been applied, more particularly an insulation plate such as that shown in figure 3.
This shows that the space and / or passages 16 between the actual insulation plate 1 and the inner wall 17 are completely closed by the presence of the soft foam bands or wool bands, this soft foam or wool being formed at the location of the protrusions by the mortar 18 or by the inequality of the stones, becomes local

As is always the case, an air gap 20 is maintained.
Figure 4 shows another embodiment in which bands 21 are parallel to each other and diagonally on the rear wall

in the embodiment according to figure 5, between the aforementioned bands 21, bands 22 are still provided. Finally, figure 6 shows another embodiment in which the actual iso-

In this way it is obtained that in the cavity formed between an inner wall 17 and an outer wall 19, there is insulation
