<EMI ID=2.1>
<EMI ID=3.1>

<EMI ID=5.1>
<EMI ID=6.1>
<EMI ID=7.1>
<EMI ID=8.1>
<EMI ID=9.1>
<EMI ID=10.1>
<EMI ID=11.1>
<EMI ID=12.1>
<EMI ID=13.1>

"DEVICE FOR MOUNTING AND RETAINING A FILTERS
AIR IN AIR CONDITIONERS ''.
The object of the invention relates to a device for mounting and retaining air filters in air conditioners.
Different embodiments of air filters are already well known; these air filters are used
in ventilation and exhaust systems and serve to separate dust and dirt from the air. On the one hand, the task of the air filters, in connection with suction installations, in particular in industrial areas, is to remove the sucked air, dust
of metal, wood, textile fibers and other materials, which are released during a technical treatment process and this, before this air has returned to the free atmosphere to prevent the ambient environment from being contaminated .
This problem mainly relates to the field of ambient pollution caused by industrial treatment processes producing dust.
Unlike this air regeneration process, with regard to space air conditioning and ventilation installations, efforts are made to refine and upgrade the air to breathe, in the sense that the external air
to be brought into a room is filtered before reaching the internal room. This process primarily satisfies a sanitary and hygienic task.
The execution and design of these air filters are different depending on the type of filter problem
and dust to be separated by filtration. Thus, a distinction is made between dry and wet filters, depending on whether the filter material, the dust to be separated by filtration or the form of construction of the filter, makes it necessary
<EMI ID = 1.1> the use of a liquid bonding agent, wetting the filter material, as is the case, for example, for metal filters wetted in oil.
The design and shape, as well as the arrangement of the air filters are also different from known executions and are adapted to the purpose of use. Therefore, they can be realized

example, space cells filled with filter material. Likewise, the resistance that the air filter offers to the circulating medium is important to the design.
surface and filter material. The flow resistance should be as low as possible.
<EMI ID = 3.1>
a device For the retention of air filters, which allows multiple variable positions of the filters. In particular, in accordance with the desired degree of separation
and at predetermined flow speeds, the angles of incidence of the filtering surfaces arranged in a V one
relative to each other must be easily adjustable and adaptable conveniently to the requirements in order to obtain an action
optimum filtration rate based on as little pressure loss as possible. A particular value must
be granted to the possibility of easy adjustment of the angle of incidence, in the sense that simple means and construction elements such as arbitrary adjustment of the extremely sharp V-position should be used here
<EMI ID = 4.1>

The shape of the device may be chosen so that incorporation into an air conditioner, appliance or duct is feasible.
The solution to the problem posed is characterized, in accordance with the invention, by two elements
<EMI ID = 5.1>
articulated transversely by means of a hinge, receiving the filter plates and arranged in a separate frame to fit, a helical spring
worm-shaped being provided between the opposing longitudinal branches of the two frame members, as well as by a frame-shaped support frame consisting of threaded rods and profile bars and in which are arranged, in the angularly adjustable and exchangeable state, the frame elements equipped with the filter plates.
Each of the frame elements connected by a hinge is provided with a grid-shaped insert serving as a support for the filter plate in question.
<EMI ID = 6.1>
frame and the filter plates are composed, in accordance with
to the invention, two individual frames which, like the frame elements, are connected to each other in the manner of a hinged valve by means of a hinge.
The free sides of the frame elements receiving the filter plates preferably have a straight L-shaped section. Consequently, the two longitudinal branches of each of the frame elements are provided with interlocking brackets which securely hold the ends of the helical springs in form
worm gear.
The snap-on frame receiving the elements of
frame is designed to be suitable, by its dimensions,
to frame elements connected by articulation.
The profile bars of the support frame are
folded upwards and downwards at their longitudinal edge facing the filter plates and are provided with retaining hooks developing in the same direction and behind which are applied the frame elements connected to one another
the other by articulation or the frame to fit.
Finally, another characteristic of the invention consists in that the threaded rods are provided with nuts
threads of a known type, on either side of the profiled bars, with the aim of vertically adjusting the profiled bars of
the support frame and, therefore, to adjust angularly
the frame elements receiving the filter plates.
The following description serves to explain the object in accordance with the invention, an exemplary embodiment of which is shown in the drawings appended hereto, in
which :
Figure 1 shows the frame elements connected by a hinge in the manner of a hinged valve, as well as
the interlocking articulated frames located in front of these elements; Figure 2 shows the assembly into one unit of the support frame and the frame members equipped with the filter plates; and FIG. 3 is a perspective view of the support frame provided with profiled bars arranged transversely and with threaded rods guiding them.
The two identical frame elements 1 are connected to each other in the manner of a valve by a hinge 7 on one of their transverse sides. Coil springs
3 worm-shaped are engaged with the longitudinal branches of the frame members and are held at
the mobile state in the interlocking brackets 8.
Each of the frame elements 1 comprises a
Grid-shaped insert of a known type, which is used for fitting the filter plate 2.
A separate snap-on frame 4, the shape of which is identical to that of the frame elements 1 and which serves to receive them, is also used. This nesting frame 4
is designed, thanks to a hinge 7, in the form of a
Two-spoke folding construction piece. It engages on the two frame elements 1 and therefore firmly holds
the filter plates 2 in their position.
The frame-shaped support bracket consists of
threaded rods 5 and profiled bars 6 which can be moved and fixed on these rods. Fixing the profile bars 6
<EMI ID = 7.1>
on threaded rods 5 below and above the bars 6.
Retaining hooks 6 <1> serving as a bearing surface for the frame elements 1 are provided on the profile bars 6.
The object according to the invention is represented as a whole in FIG. 2. It is visible here that several
<EMI ID = 8.1>
filtering by placing them side by side and one above the other. The number of threaded rods 5 and profiled bars 6 is adapted to the required conditions.
Thanks to the object of the invention, it is possible
<EMI ID = 9.1>
of incidence with respect to the direction of the air are variable arbitrarily by the pressure of the springs.
The optimum angle of incidence can be easily adjusted according to the desired degrees of separation and the
predetermined flow velocities. A change in the angles of incidence is particularly desirable when high power filter media are to be used.
The V-shaped unit is assembled by connecting
the two frame elements <1>, incorporating the filter plates
2, by hinges 7 and moving them away from each other
by the helical springs 3 in the form of an endless screw.
Under these conditions, the extremely sharp angle, that is to say up to 1800 (flat plane), is arbitrarily variable, exclusively by the pressure of the springs 3, that is to say
without auxiliary organs.
The object according to the invention makes it possible to have different V-shaped cassettes, made up of elements 1, 2, 3,
4 and 7, simultaneously side by side and in a superimposed state,
as well as in absolutely airtight condition.
The type of clamping construction, i.e.
3 helical springs in the form of worm screws, allows
in principle, to remove or release the different cassettes laterally in order to enhance them.
This results in an advantageous effect which is not
to be underestimated, in the sense that not only these cassettes
<EMI ID = 10.1>
disassembly is also possible without considerable precipitation of
<EMI ID = 11.1>
do it calmly and without shocks.
Compared to known devices, the invention provides a series of very distinct advantages, in particular
by the fact that multiple variable use is possible.
In addition, a modular construction method can be obtained by standardizing the different construction elements to adapt them to the different ventilation units.
<EMI ID = 12.1>
possible, in the sense that when ^ an arbitrary position of
1800 ,, one obtains a continuous filter plate in plan, the use of which as a plate filter in a large
<EMI ID = 13.1>
by a tourniquet closure of a known type.
Another advantage is found in optimally using the given cross section of the ventilation unit concerned, a higher efficiency and a longer life of the filter being established.
Finally, we must still cite as an advantage
the fact that material savings are possible by
the possibility of modifying the angle of incidence, in that the number of cells of conventional V-shaped filters can be reduced. The V-filters used do not allow a modification of the angle of incidence.
Different variants can be made to the subject of the invention with regard to the method of construction, without thereby departing from the scope of the latter.
