Description

 <EMI ID=4.1>

: Raticide product The present invention relates to a product for the extermination of rodent animals, such as rats, mice and the like.

We know that some places, such as sewers, are infested with rats which are responsible for great damage. This is why large quantities of rat poison products are used, possibly mixed with baits, such as animal or vegetable fats, in various forms, for example in paper or plastic bags, which are dispersed in the places to ratify.

It has been observed in practice, a considerable waste of rat poison products and a rapid deterioration of these, under the effect of fluids or solids, such as air, water, organic matter, in particular detergents. , acids, bases, etc ... which are present in sewers and other places infested with rats. This wastage also results from the fact that rat poison products disperse or dilute rapidly in liquids, generally in the form of streams, with which they come into contact.

The present invention aims to remedy these drawbacks and relates to a rat poison product which, thanks to its consistency, can remain, for a prolonged period, within the reach of rodent animals, without it dispersing or diluting in the medium. ambient.

The expression "rat poison product" as used in the present specification denotes all known products, such as blood anticoagulants <EMI ID = 1.1>

undermine rats, mice and other rodent animals considered to be pests.

According to the invention, the product for the extermination of rodent animals consists of a block containing a rat poison product and possibly also a

bait for rodents, this block comprising an internal frame made up of entangled fibers distributed substantially throughout the mass of the block.

Thanks to this fibrous reinforcement, the block remains coherent and resists the shocks to which it is subjected

in service.

The entangled fibers used in the block according to the invention can be animal, plant, mineral or synthetic fibers. Thus, these fibers can be fibers of wool, cotton, hemp, flax, ramie, or jute, cellulosic fibers, for example

wood, or grain, glass wool fibers, or

synthetic fibers such as nylon fibers; etc.

The entangled fibers may, in accordance

to the invention, be in the form of chips or wood wool, for example strips or bands wound in a spiral from the planing of pieces of wood, under

in the form of paper clippings, cotton balls, tow, straw, layers of natural or synthetic threads or,

in general, in all forms of fibers which form an open network intended to serve as a reinforcement for

the solid or pasty material containing a rat poison product.

The product according to the invention may be in the form of a block of any shape, for example cylindrical or parallelepiped, containing a known rat poison product dispersed in a fatty substance of animal or plant origin, serving as a bait. This fat can be, for example, tallow, lard, beef fat or other fat that is not liquid at room temperature. In addition to the rat poison product and a grease, the aforementioned block may contain an additive serving

to change the consistency of the layer. As such additive, there may be mentioned paraffin, stearin and the like.

The rat poison block according to the invention is advantageously provided with means allowing it to be attached, in particular

 <EMI ID = 2.1>

can be constituted by a hook planted in the block or by a rod embedded in the block and connected to a chain allowing the block to be hung at a desired place of use.

The single figure of the attached drawing shows, at <EMI ID = 3.1>

invention.

This rat poison product consists of a block 1 of cylindrical shape formed of a mass 2 of a mixture of a pasty or solid animal or vegetable fat serving as a bait, of a rat poison product, such as 3- ( o <-acetonyl-

 <EMI ID = 4.1>

4-hydroxycouinarin, and an excipient, such as paraffin or stearin. In the mass 2 of the block 1 is embedded a frame 3 made up of a mass of entangled fibers, such as scrap from planing wood.

The block 1 is surrounded by an envelope 4 which can be made of paper, parchment or plastic (such as polyethylene).

A rod 5 crosses block 1 from top to bottom,

To this rod 5 held in place, under the block 1, by a washer 6, is attached a chain 7 allowing the block to be hung at the desired location.

It is obvious that the invention is not limited to the details described above and that modifications can be made to these details without departing from the

framework of the invention.
