De uitvinding betreft asblokken of draagblokken voor zulke as;

Ieder asblok bestaat uit twee halve blokken uit strak schuimplastiek, bijvoorbeeld geexpandeerd polystyreen of een dergelijke stof. 

  
Fig. 1 illustreert de uitvoering van een halve blok (A).

  
De blok vertoont een half cylindrische uitholling (2), een gleuf (3), een uitholling (4), een stelpen (5) en, eventueel, een boord of

  
rand (6).

  
De gleuf (3) dient tot het inbrengen van een stootplaat uit hard materiaal zoals hout, multiplex, hardboard, harde plastiek, massief karton of dergeli jke stoffen. Het doel van de stootplaat is het axiaal verschuiven van de hierboven vermelde as te beletten wanneer de draag&#65533;blokken om de as geplaatst worden (Fig. 3;C) en (Fig. 6; C-D).

  
Stelpen (5) en uitholling (4) (Fig. 1) dienen tot het nauwkeurig plaatsen en opstellen van de twee halve blokken.

  
Bij het opstellen van de volledige draagblok (Fig. 2) wordt de stootplaat (11) in de gleuf (3) van blok (A) gestopt, waarna de tweede halfblok (B) tegen de eerste halfblok wordt geduwd zodanig dat :
- het uitstekende gedeelte van stootplaat (11) in gl euf (10) van blok (B) terecht komt.
- stelpen (5) van halfblok (A) in de overeenstemmende uitholling (8) komt van halfblok (B).
- stelpen (7) van halfblok (B) in de overeenkomende uitholling (4) van halfblok (A) komt.

  
De eerste draagblok is nu gereed. Een tweede draagblok wordt op gelijke wijze opgesteld.

  
Nu kan de draagblok (A) + (B) + (C) (Fig. 3) op de as worden gemonteerd, het uiteinde van de as passende in de uitholling (D), tot
