à la main doit d'abord sécher et durcir pendant un certain temps avant de pouvoir recevoir l'enduit de finissage.;

plaster base "The present invention relates to an apparatus for smoothing a plaster-based coating.
It is known that in certain buildings, certain walls or surfaces of the structural work must be provided with a coating; among the possible coatings are known in particular those which consist of a plaster-based mortar; in this case, it is planned to apply first a base layer of plaster mortar then a layer of finishing plaster which, after straightening with a rule, is finally smoothed using a trowel handled by hand. hand. This way of operating is quite long because the base coat applied
by hand must first dry and harden for a period of time before it can receive the finishing plaster .;
Moreover, the manual smoothing of the coating is a fairly lengthy operation which requires skilled labor, so that a coating of this kind has the disadvantage of being quite expensive.
The present invention, which aims to eliminate this drawback, consists of an apparatus for mechanically smoothing a plaster coating plaster characterized in that it comprises, in a support casing, a tool having a raised part which is applied. on the surface to be smoothed on which it is set in motion by a drive means.
According to a particular feature, the tool consists of a wheel fitted with fins and driven by a rapid rotational movement.
According to another feature, the fins are folded metal plates, each provided with a raised edge and removably fixed to a hub so that said edges are in a plane perpendicular to the axis <EMI ID = 2.1>
the fins are arranged radially, opposite.
According to yet another feature, the tool support housing is in the form of a flattened cup beyond the edge of which protrude the upright edges.
fins.
Other features may appear in the following description of the appended drawings which relate
to one embodiment of the invention shown by way of illustration only.
In these drawings:
Figure 1 is a schematic bottom plan view of a smoothing apparatus according to the invention. Figure 2 is a sectional view along II-II of Figure 1.
By the figures we see that a smoothing device
has a support housing in the form of a flattened cup 1 in which a paddle wheel 2 is mounted
to turn.
This 2 wing wheel consists of a 3 mounted hub
at the end of a drive shaft 4. On this hub 3, six metal fins 5 are fixed diametrically opposed
using screws 6; each fin 5 is formed by a flat plate 5a of trapezoidal shape bent outwards
following 5b to give a tongue 5c for fixing to the hub
and so that each fin which has a perfectly straight edge 7 exceeds the plane of the edge 1a of the cup. The edges 7 of the metal fins are located in the same plane perpendicular to the axis of rotation of the wheel 2 so that they sweep this plane when said wheel is rotated by the drive shaft 4 actuated by a motor. not shown.
When the device is in the working position, the ridges 7 are applied to the surface to be smoothed and by their successive passage they perfectly smooth said surface.
The invention is not limited to the embodiment described and it is possible to make certain modifications thereto.
