Abstract
Systemic fungicides for protecting plants against soil-borne plant root disease organism contain >=1 pyridine cpd. of formula (I) (where X is Cl. F or Br; Z si CCl3 CHCl2 or CF2Cl; and R is 1-10C alkyl). When (I) are applied to the above-ground parts of plants, they migrate downwards through the plants and accumulate in the roots. When, applied close to the roots they are absorbed and remain in the roots.
