Copying paper contains a new cpd. of formula:- (where R1 and R2 = 1-4 C alkyl; X and Y = H, halo or 1-4 C alkyl; pref. R1 = R2 = Et, Y = H and X = H, Me or Cl or R1 = R2 = Me, Y = H and X = H or Me). The cpd. may be applied in microcapsules in a solvent of low volatility to a sheet of paper contg. a solid acid and another sheet may opt. be put over this.
