Abstract

Polypropylene compsn. contains 0.1 - 5, pref. 0.1 - 1 wt.% polyoxymethylene as nucleating agent. The polypropylene and the polyoxymethylene are mixed by dissolving in a common solvent and precipitating, or by simultaneously extruding the two components. The polyoxymethylene acts as crystallisation seeds, and gives polypropylene compsns. with improved physical properties, esp. a better rigidity.
