Abstract

Grain mixture for caged birds and other animals consists of (I) 75-95% natural grain, and (II) 5-25% synthetic grains contg. lysine and/or methionine, vitamin A and/or D, and an assimilable calcium salt in measured quantities. The synthetic grains provide caged birds or hamsters etc. with their dietary requirements of the amino acids, vitamins and calcium salts, which are present in insufficient quantities in the natural grain.
