Abstract

Device for monitoring the position of a control rod of the type integral with one end of a grooved operating rod, operated by electromagnetically controlled pawls, the free end of this rod being displaced in the interior of a coil connected to a constant a.c. source via a large impedance and having a potential measuring system across its ends, the ends of the coil and of the measuring system are connected to devices for suppressing at least the major part of the potential variations at the ends of the coil due to parasitic magnetic fields, generated by the electromagnets controlling the pole pieces. These potential variations are suppressed by use of a circuit sensitive to small potential variations at input, which is connected to the output of the measuring system and by an addition-subtraction counting device connected to this circuit to provide a numerical indication for the control rod position.
