Abstract
Electric spot welding unit has electrodes connected to the secondary windings of an A.C transformer, some of which are firmly attached to one end of two parallel bars. At their other end the bars are electrically connected and directly incorporated in the magnetic circuit of the transformer. With the part of the work pieces between the two electrodes they form the secondary circuit of the transformer. The bars can move both in relation to the primary winding and to each other.
