This increase in wall thickness has reduced the possibility of flexing the walls. the piping or pipe has small radii because the surface not finding - the inside of the curved section tends to flatten and penetrate the interior of the pipe.

inside diameter of the piping being constructed.
As a result, the pipe flexes more easily and any breakage or loosening of the wire does not have the destructive effects which in many cases render the pipe unusable. In addition, the helix turns tend to maintain regular spacing, even when the pipe is flexed. We. further discovered that the flexible pipe is constructed using a spring wire to form the support frame or helix, the diameter and spacing in the helix of which are appropriately chosen with respect to the diameter of the pipe and to the thickness of the wall insulation, a pipe can be constructed which has the possibility of being bent over a small radius.
By appropriately choosing the spacing of the wires in the helix relative to the thickness of the wall, the outer and insulating layers deform between the turns of the helix of wire so that the conduit no has a very reduced tendency to flatten. The wire gauge is chosen in order to provide each spiro with a resistance that is greater than the force required to deform the insulating wall.
As a result, the pipe of the present invention has an increased ability to flex or bend around certain curves without flattening, while maintaining a very advantageous overall stiffness. In addition, this construction allows for the packaging to axially compress the pipe like "a trolley in a box", which allows significant savings in packaging, storage and freight. When the pipe is taken out of the packaging where the work is to be
