<EMI ID=30.1>
<EMI ID=31.1>
<EMI ID=32.1>
<EMI ID=33.1>
<EMI ID=34.1>
<EMI ID=35.1>
<EMI ID=36.1>
<EMI ID=37.1>
<EMI ID=38.1>
<EMI ID=39.1>
électrodes.
<EMI ID=40.1>

It can be deduced from the devices previously exposed, that this device has many application possibilities for controlling production, quality, data supply etc. obtained directly and at very low prices compared to a chronometer. Of course when the time intervals are very small
the stopwatch cannot follow them, however this device can.
As a consequence of numerous tests carried out with the claimed production electro-controller apparatus, the inventor has introduced certain improvements with which he has succeeded in obtaining a production electro-controller apparatus of great efficiency and application.
The device fitted with a protective material
<EMI ID = 26.1>
toroidal presence so as not to interrupt the machine's supply conductors, which constitute the primary whose transmission
<EMI ID = 27.1>
so that each time the load increases in the machine, the relay is energized, closing the contacts of the supply circuit of a time totalizer, so that after a certain determined time the time can be known of pure work.
In the case of application of the apparatus to welding machines of any type, it has been observed in the practice of the invention that errors can be introduced into the data supplied by the apparatus, errors due to the fact that, intentionally or by other causes, the manipulator can leave the electrode with ground in short circuit, not producing electric aro, but counting the time incorrectly in the totalizer.
In order to avoid the said drawback, the inventor has perfected the apparatus introducing a blocking element which consists of a relay which cuts the supply circuit of the time totalizer when the electrode mass is in short circuit.
To obtain such an effect, the coil of said relay is connected to the secondary of the welding transformer, which, through other contacts of the relay has been connected to the current transformer so that said blockade relay is energized whenever the main relay operates, and that there is at least the normal welding voltage between electrode-ground, generally 25 V.

and the blocking relay.
Figure 4 shows an electrical diagram of the device in which a blocking relay has been introduced,
As shown in figure 3, the upper representation shows us a Cartesian system in which the abscissa axis represents the weld intensity in amps in the electrode, and the ordinate axis, the intensity in amps of the secondary of the torordal transformer. As can be seen in
<EMI ID = 30.1>
<EMI ID = 31.1>
transformer was of normal type for an intensity ni, one would obtain an intensity ni ', in the secondary; as the latter would harm the relay, the inventor was obliged to construct a torordal transformer with sufficient self-dispersion to motivate a leveling of the intensity, by means of which it corresponds to the intensity nor, in the primary, a
<EMI ID = 32.1>
thus obtains protection for the relay which is represented in the graph cited by the striped surface of the same thereby succeeding in eliminating the regulating switch for different welding intensities.
In experiments carried out according to the invention, starting from a welding intensity of 80 Amps and 600 Amps,
<EMI ID = 33.1>
<EMI ID = 34.1>
with a normal type transformer, we would have obtained, in the secondary, currents of 0.35 Amps and 2.62 Amps.
<EMI ID = 35.1>
another Cartesian system, in which the abscissa axis represents the intensities in amperes, and the ordinate axis the voltages
in volts between earth-electrode.
It is known that electric arc welding machines
require a vacuum voltage greater than 70 volts which would cause extraordinary damage to the blocking relay at its nominal voltage of 25 volts, which is the voltage required to perform an arc weld. As we see, in this graph, we connect the relay just after appreciating the load in the soldering circuit, and because of this there is no possibility for them to connect to the harmful voltage of
70 volts.
As shown in the diagram in figure 4, the coil
of relay 10 is connected to the secondary of current transformer 8 which is toroidal in shape to allow its accommodation to the supply conductors of the machine 19.
This relay has a pair of auxiliary contacts interposed in the supply circuit of the synchronous counter 6
<EMI ID = 36.1>
The said power supply circuit, provided with fuses 7, has the closing counters of the relay 16 interposed in series of ",
For the counter .6 to work, the said relay must be energized.
On the other hand, the relay 10 has other contacts connected to the circuit of the lamp 12 which lights up, when it counts the time
<EMI ID = 37.1>
relay, lights up when the device does not count the working time.
The coil of the relay 16 is connected through another pair of the working contacts of the relay 10 with a socket base for receiving the pin of the conductor 18 connected to the secondary of the welding transformer, just to the ground-electrode terminals.
Consequently in the terminals of said connection there is the same voltage as between the electrode and the mass of the welding circuit, independently of the voltage drop RI of the conductors which separate the machine from the worker.
When there is a short circuit in it, that is, direct contact between electrode and ground, the voltage will be
<EMI ID = 38.1>
normal welding voltage.
Therefore, if we are welding, relay 16 is energized and relay 10 is also energized since the machine consumes
<EMI ID = 39.1>
electrodes.
<EMI ID = 40.1>
that a short-circuit is made in the secondary of the transformer, the voltage is reduced to zero in the conductors 18 and for that the relay 16 opens its contacts by interrupting the supply of the
