Exemple 1
Un mélange de 52,3 g .¯¯¯¯¯ de 2-nitro-imidazole pulvérisé sublimé, 315 ml d'épichlorhydrine et 5,25 g de carbo- nate de potassium anhydre est agité et chauffé. Le mélange est maintenu pendant 10 minutes sous ébullition vive et ensuite filtré. La substance non-soluble est lavée avec de l'éthanol bouillant. Du filtrat refroidi, on obtient 65,3 g de produit brut. Après recristallisation de ce produit brut dans 1100 ml d'éthanol bouillant, on obtient 59,1 g de cristaux jaunes fondant à 156 - 158 . Le filtrat d'épichlorhydrine est évaporé jusqu'à siccité, et les 12,5 g de substance solide obtenus sont recris- tallisés par addition de noir animal.
Les filtrats d'éthanol obtenus par la recristallisation du produit brut sont évaporés jusqu'à siccité, et le résidu est recristallisé par utilisation de noir animal. On obtient le 1-[2-nitro-imidazolyl-(1)]-3-chlo- ro-propanol-2) cristallisé fondant à 156 - 158 .
Exemple 2
250 ml d'une solution aqueuse d'hydroxyde de sodium à 10% sont agités à la température ambiante avec 38,13 g de 1-[2-nitro- imidazolyl-(1)]-3-chloro-propanol-(2) finement pulvérisés, Le solide est dissous en 1 ou 2 minutespuis en 2 'ou 3 minutes un se- * lide cristallisé commence à se former. Le mélange est agité à la température ambiante pendant 5-15 minutes, puis refroidi dans un bain de neige carbonique jusqu'à ce qu'il commence à geler. Puis le mélange

est filtré. La substance scLide est lavée avec 40 ml d'eau glacée, mise en suspension dans 50 ml d'eau distillée glacée, filtrée encore une fois, lavée 2 fois avec 40 ml d'eau glacée chaque fois et ensuite séchée.
La substance cristallisée jaune pâle fond à 53 - 55 . Les filtrats réunis (lavages inclus) sont extraits 2 fois avec 600 ml de chloroforme chaque fois, et le chloroforme est évaporé à la température ambiante. azote pendant 2 3/4 heures à 90 - 113 . Le 2-nitro-imidazole est dissous, et le produit reste en solution à la température ambiante. Le K2CO3 est séparé par filtration et l'oxyde de propy- lène est éliminé sous vide. Il reste une huile se solidifiant en partie lors du refroidissement. Cette huile est mise en sus- pension à la température ambiante dans 20 ml de benzène, pparée par filtration et lavée avec 10 ml de benzène. On obtient ainsi 4,02 g de produit brut qu'on recristallise dans 20 ml d'étha- nol absolu bouillant.
Les cristaux jaune-pâle ainsi obtenus de 1-[2-nitro-imidazolyl-(1)-propanol-(2) fondent à 119,5 - 121 .
Exemple
Un mélange de 8,23 g de 2-nitro-imidazole pulvérisé sublimé, 0,84 g de carbonate de potassium anhydre et 49 ml de 1,2-époxy-3-méthoxy-propane est chauffé sous agitation pendant 8 minutes (109- 114 ). Le mélange réactionnel est filtré à chaud, et on lave le K2CO3 au moyen d'éthanol absolu chaud.
Le filtrat (lavages inclus) est évaporé sous vide(30-40 /0.,3 mm température du bain . Le résidu est mis en suspension dans 40 ml d'éthanol absolu, filtré et lavé 2 fois avec 5 ml d'éthanol chaque fois. On obtient 10,47 g de produit brut. Celui- ci est recristallisé dans 100 ml d'éthanol absolu. Le 1-[2-nitro- imidazolyl-(1)]-3-méthoxy-propanol-(2) obtenu sous forme de cristaux blancs fond à 110 - 111 .
Exemple 6
Une solution de 8 g de 1-(2,3-époxy-propyl)-2-nitro- imidazole dans 48 ml d'acide sulfurique 6N est chauffée sous

agitation pendant 15 minutes à 60 - 65 Après refroidissement, la solution est portée à un pH de 7 à une température au-dessous de 0 , en ajoutant lentement 18 ml d'ammoniaque aqueuse concentrée.

Les composés préparés suivant le procédé de la présente invention ont une action antibaotérienne, une action contre les levures pathogènes et les protozoaires et peuvent ainsi être utilises par ex, pour le traitement d'infections causées par les Trichomonas vaginalis ou les Histomonas malegradis.
Les nouvelles substances de l'invention peuvent être transformées en préparations médicamenteuses contenant la sub- tance active en mélange avec un véhicule pharmaceutique qui peut être organique ou inorganique, solide ou liquide, adapté à l'adminstration per os, percutanée, parentérale ou locale. Comme véhicule pharmaceutique, on peut utiliser des substances qui ne réagissent pas avec les composés nouveaux, par ex. l'eau, la gélatine, les gommes, le lactose, l'amidon, le stéarate de magné- sium, le talc, les huiles végétales, les polyalcoylèneglycols, la vaseline, et les autres véhicules d'usage dans'les préparations médicamenteuses.
Ces préparations peuvent se présenter sous forme solide, par ex. de comprimés, dragées, suppositoires, capsules ; sous forme semi-solide, par ex. de pommades ; sous forme liquide, par ex. de solutions, suspensions ou émulsions. Le cas échéant, les préparations peuvent être stérilisées et/ou peuvent contenir des substances auxiliaires, par ex. des agents conservateurs., stabilisants, de mouillage ou d'émulsification.
Elles peuvent également contenir des sels régularisant la pres- sion osmotique ou des composés-tampon, et être combinées avec d'autres substances thérapeu+iquement utiles. Ces préparations sont obtenues par les procédés usuels, illustrés ci-après.
