EMI2.2

<Desc/Clms Page number 3>

<Desc/Clms Page number 4>
<Desc/Clms Page number 5>

If such a control is used, for example for a pusher, connected to the side opposite the pulse generator of an armature mounted on both sides as springs, or
EMI2.4
excited by the armature, for the action / ienent of the sieving surface of the screening machine, it is only possible to obtain on this tanizing surface low vibrations.

amplitudes, for example an electromagnetic actuation of only about 1 suc, or even lower, which obviously limits the field of use.
Until now, the kinetic energy produced by the pulse generator and it acts on the armature has been found to be largely canceled out by the spring power.

The present invention aims to make fully effective, and even to increase the kinetic energy, in other words, in an electromagnet, the lifting force.
This problem is already to be considered as inventive.
EMI3.1
This problem is c8setiellecnt r0;, olu, according to the invention, by the fact that a lever, clamped on one side, can be excited by an armature. fixed on him, to obtain,

According to another basic characteristic 11 of the invention, the free arm acting as a pulse generator carries, on its free end, the part of the preparation machine which must be subjected to vibrations.
By the weight of the working field suspended at the free end of the arm, in free extension of the armature, we obtain the return force which, for example, with an electromagnet, opposes the force do washing, it the latter, and consequently causes the armature to oscillate at the rate of the frequency introduced into the electromagnet.

<Desc / Clms Page number 4>
Thanks to the invention, therefore, an intensity is now obtained, which is significantly increased by the large amplitudes, compared with known control devices.
According to another characteristic of the invention, the armature is provided with a fixed stop, or with a spring and / or adjustable.
This precludes the return force of the driven part of the work instrument to move the armature away from the region of the impulse generator.
The possibility of adjusting the stopper is important, due to the possible different loads.
In order to be able to adapt the control to various cases of use, it is provided, according to other characteristics of the invention, that the armature comprises, on the side of its fixing, a rigid arm, which is mounted on the armature. carcass or the housing of the pulse generator, in rubber or in a rotary joint capable of moving freely in the direction of oscillation, or an arm with elastic return force, the end of which is firmly clamped on the carcass or housing of the pulse generator, and, moreover, that the arm, arranged on the free side of the armature and moving away from it, is made of a more or less rigid material, or with an elastic return force, by example in spring steel.
With arms thus making a spring, there is also the possibility, if desired or deemed necessary, to exploit the own elasticity of the springs, which makes it possible to obtain, at the free end of the arm moving away from induces, for example a further increase in amplitudes, together with a greater acceleration, even with a
<Desc / Clms Page number 5>
phase shift with respect to the frequency of the armature.
The rigid arms must be furnished with springs and provided to be movable in the direction of the yeast, so that one must have, at the end which is clamped, either a revolving articulation, with spring, or a rubber articulation, for be able to achieve the aim pursued by the invention.
According to a particular characteristic of the invention, the arms of the armature are made in the form of rods or ribbons, and are either fixed as individual arms on both sides of the armature, or made using a rod or a single piece of tape, on which the armature is placed.
Another advantageous measure is characterized by the fact that, when an electromagnet as a pulse generator is used, the frcntal surface of this deratec and the surface of the armature facing the electromagnet, relatively to the arc of a circle describes around the point the fixing of the lever by the lifting movement of this dem @ which approaches and moves away from the electromagnet, are arranged parallel to one another to the fleece of maximum attraction.
According to another interesting characteristic.

turn of the disc isolated, to send one or more sudden pulses, with shorted contact surfaces, or brief pulses of vibration, depending on the length of the contact surfaces and the speed. isolated disk peripheral, to one or the other row of electromagnets.
An advantageous method is control, without contacts, by light pulses or electromagnetic pulses. The product which is on the sieving surface is then projected, each time, from the side currently actuated, onto the other, so that, in addition to the effect obtained by the pulse reinforced by the amplitude, the product to be sieved is caused to effect, on the sifting surface, a zig-zag path and, therefore, longer, and thus undergoes a prolonged and more efficient treatment.
With sudden impulses, the product is thrown, most quickly, towards the opposite side, so that, for example, using on one side a drive of 50 periods and, on the other side, a drive by sudden pulses, emitted at suitable time intervals, a sawtooth movement of the product on the sieving surface is obtained.
In the particular field of use in concentration and screening machines, an advantageous feature of the invention is remarkable in that, in the use of several groups, each row of pulse generators is arranged on one side. a spar of a frame of a screening machine, said spars being provided adjustable, in direction of each other, within the limits of the width of the sieve fabric, and will also be adjustable in inclination.
This arrangement also makes it possible to obtain

vis-à-vis, the electromagnet and the armature, are arranged parallel as shown in fig. ?. Instead of the support 2 provided in the form of a rotating bearing, it can also be provided, with rigid arms, in the form of a rubber joint.
Fig. 7 schematically represents the preferred mode of use, in which the arms 4 and 6 of the armature 1 are formed by strong leaf springs, and in which the arm 4 of the armature is clamped in the support In this case, when when the electromagnet is put into service, the natural elasticity of the spring material used for the arms is exerted on the free end of the arm 6 of the armature, and produces the amplitudes indicated by the dashed lines .
Fig. 8 differs from FIG. 7 only by the fact that the electromagnet has taken an oblique position, while the armature has, on its side facing the electromagnet, a rectilinear surface, so that the surfaces, facing each other, of the magnet and the lead are placed in parallel, as indicated by the dashed lines.
In fig. 9 is shown, in addition, an adjustable stop 10 which, as has already been described, must prevent the armature, due to the return force of the driven device, acting on the free end from reaching the outside of the area of attraction of the electromagnet. This stop 10 can also be used to superpoor harmonics, by stop, the vibrations of the armature.
In addition, the armature can, in the rest state, bear on said stop 10.
Fig. 10 represents, in principle, a repetition

tion of fig. 9, but at the free end 7 of the free arm 6, which in this case forms a continuous spring band with the clamped arm 4, there is indicated a mass, which corresponds approximately to the suspended sieve surface, according to fig. 1 to 5.
Fig. 11 schematically represents the operation, in service, of the electromagnet. It can be seen that the mass provided at the free end 1 of the armature arms is phase-lagged with respect to the armature, so that the vibrations, at the free end 7, are out of phase with respect to the vibrations of the armature.
In fig. 12 and 13 is shown, in principle, one of the control members for the variable @ pulse generation. On a shaft 19 is mounted an isolas disc which is driven by a variable speed motor. The insulating disc carries contact surfaces of the circuit 17, arranged concentrically, and which, sui @@
