<Desc/Clms Page number 2>

Monobloc c3ntrifiige oroupe-electro-compressor on several stages.

moopheric.
Usually, such groups consist of three devices 1 the centrifugal compressor itself,. the electric drive motor, and the multiplier, the latter having the aim of raising the speed of rotation of the compressor to a suitable value, and the speed in question always being greater than that of the electric motors usually employed,
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
The groups thus designed are then of complex construction, expensive, and of a significant size, requiring a delicate lineage and the execution of the foundation! also important
Grouped units comprising the multiplier combined with the compressor, but with the motor always separate,
have already been realized and are known.
The present invention relates to a monobloc electro-compressor unit, of very small size, comprising the assembly of the motor, the multiplier and the compressor, the motor being the central part, and serving as the body for a double multiplier compressor, arranged in on either side of an electric motor of special construction (see figure 1).
This monobloo machine design makes it possible to judiciously arrange the various compression stages, between them, and to choose the optimum speeds to obtain a better output.
The block thus produced can be assembled and tested in the workshop, and, if the dimensions allow it, it can be transported on site, after testing in the factory, and be fully assembled. Only the air coolers are dismantled, then reassembled on site, like simple collectors.
The size of a monobloc group as described in the invention is approximately 50% less than that of a group of conventional design, and the functions and assembly are thus very simplified.
The very compact arrangement of this group also gives it high mechanical and thermodynamic efficiency and allows, as we have seen, very simple assembly on site, each of the components remaining very accessible due to the arrangement of the components. two-piece housings.
