the most perfect device so far being the vibrator device of the Peniar Tremolo system, produced by Peniar in the USA.
The essence of this device consists in the anchoring of the strings, -on a joint member which they touch, as it is in the normal anchoring, on the tailpiece, the tension of the strings being compensated by the tension of a system of springs acting on a joint member which can be rotated along the transverse axis. In the rest position, the tension of the strings equals the tension of the spring system, so that the tension of the strings is the same as when firmly anchoring the strings to the body of the instrument.
The movement along the transverse axis, usually effected in practice by the lower part of the player's hand touching a connected lever: in the joint limb, on the one hand, causes a decrease in tension, usually on the side of the strings and , on the other hand, an increase in tension to the spring system. This phenomenon is repeated immediately after in the opposite direction, so as to cause an incessant cibration during the game.
One drawback of the system mentioned above consists in the difficulty of the tuning of the strings and the instantaneous discordance of the instrument when a string breaks during play.
The drawbacks and shortcomings of the vibrator device mentioned above are eliminated in the device forming the subject of the present invention.
The essential characteristic of the present inuention consists in the anchoring of the rope on a movable anchoring body, tensioned by a spring and capaul to be connected in a fixed manner to a joint member, after the adjustment of the tension. -
