Description
<Desc/Clms Page number 1>

Description The hygienic band is processed either outside, inside or. outside and inside, by a chemical compound, containing as active principle one or more halogenated phenols.
Halogenated phenols, apart from their deodorizing power, have a great and broad bactericidal power, not only against pus bacteria, such as staphylococci, but also against colibacilli, typhus and paratyphus bacilli. The advantage of halogenated phenols also consists in its retarding and destructive power, for example of: interdigital epidermophytia, microsporon tonsurans, trichophyton gypseum and others.
The active materials heretofore employed in deodorants and disinfectants, toiletries and hygiene products, had only a very low bactericidal power against colibacilli and typhus bacilli and were practically ineffective against the dermatophyte.
The use of halogenated phenols in the chemical composition can vary from 5 mgrs .. 3 grs. per treated band, Its effect is non-irritant.
By adding vitamin K1 compound / chemical, the strip can be made anti-hemorrhagic.
The chemical compound or the strip may or may not be perfumed.
. The application of the chemical compound to or in the strip can be done by dry or wet route.
By seeing dry, the chemical compound is simply sprinkled or sprayed on or in the strip.
For wet application, it is necessary to dissolve the chemical compound in one or more solvents. With this dissolution it is possible to moisten or soak the strips or spray the solution in or on the strip. One must dry or evaporate.
