Description

   <Desc/Clms Page number 1>

 <Desc/Clms Page number 2>

   The carts used to enter and exit motor vehicles from garage boxes are often provided with an electric control. Since in the premises of an automobile garage there may be gasoline vapors, the power supply for the control motors of a truck cannot be made by means of friction conductors. cause of the risk of sparks; on the other hand, it would be very complicated to provide such friction conductors in each box. This is why the encoder power supply is via flexible cable.

   The present invention relates to a device for supplying current to carriages in automobile garages, by flexible cable; it aims to provide a cable supply such that the cable is as short as possible and is protected as much as possible when the trolley comes and goes.

  To this end, according to the invention, the cable leaves from a winding and unwinding drum fixed to the elevator shaft, to end at an attachment point provided in the middle of one of the longitudinal sides of the carriage, when going from the elevator shaft to the trolley, on the one hand on one or the other of two return pulleys fixed to the cage so as to yield elastically to the cage, and on the other hand on curvilinear guide elements mounted in front of the cable attachment point on the carriage.

   Because the cable is fixed in the middle of the carriage, the same length of cable always unwinds from the drum whether the carriage exits the left or right of the cage, this length being thus reduced to the minimum possible. The inevitable irregular movements of the trolley on the rails make it necessary to mount the deflection pulleys elastically so that the cable can follow the lateral movements of the trolley. The curvilinear elements provided at the entry of the cable into the carriage increase the longevity of the cable at the point of attachment where it is subjected to bending alternately in one direction and the other.

   The accompanying drawings show, by way of example, one embodiment of the invention.

   Figure 1 is a side view of the current supply device according to the invention, and Figures 2 to 4 are plan views of this device in various positions of the carriage.

   In figure 1, the reference numeral 1 designates the lower part of the shaft .. of the elevator which is used to transport the cars to the different floors of the garage, 2 designates the trolley which is used to automatically enter and exit the vehicles. automobiles of the boxes, and 3 designates an automobile in the cage. The cable 4 serving for the current supply is fixed at 5 in the middle of one of the longitudinal sides of the carriage 2 and connected at one end to the control motor of the carriage. The other end of the cable 4 goes to the drum 6 mounted on the cage 1, which winds up the free length of cable and from which the necessary length of cable is unwound.

     From the place of attachment 5 to the drum 6, the cable 4 is guided by one or the other of two return pulleys 7,8 which are resiliently mounted on the cage 1 on the outside of the carriage 2 so that the cable can follow the lateral movements of the carriage, due to the inevitable irregularities of the movements of the carriage on the rails (figures 1 to 4). The two neighboring return pulleys 7, 8, one of which guides the cable during the entry of the carriage and the other during its exit, are journaled in common on one of the branches 9 of an angled lever 9, 11. , the other branch of which 11 is pulled by a spring
12 towards the cage 1. -The deflection of the return poles 7, 8 is limited by one. adjustment screw 17 which bears against the cage infrastructure 1.

   Depending on the position of the drum $, one or more pulleys can be fitted.

 guide 13 on the path of the cable 4 between the return pulleys 7, 8 and the drum 6.

   Given that at the place of attachment 5 on the carriage 2, the cable 4 is subjected to bending in different directions, due to the different rolling directions of the carriage, curved elements 14 are provided, fixed to the carriage 2, to guide the cable 4 from the fixing point 5 towards the drum 6, on which the cable comes to rest alternately. In addition, on the longitudinal sides of the carriage 2, to which the cable is attached, there are provided channels 15 in which the cable can be lodged when the carriage enters the boxes 16 and thus be protected against external influences. The fact that the return pulleys 7, 8 are resiliently mounted, ensures that the cable 4 remains in the channels 15 when the carriage 2 moves laterally as a result of the irregularities in the track.
