<Desc/Clms Page number 2>
<Desc/Clms Page number 3>
<Desc/Clms Page number 4>

The present invention relates to a device for supporting a bottle or a similar container and more particularly to a device for supporting a bottle or a similar container in an inclined position allowing the flow of the material contained in it. the bottle or receptacle, when the latter is open.
The object of the invention is a device of the type indicated above, which has a small footprint both in the deployed state and in the undeployed state, while it is of simple and inexpensive construction.
According to the invention, the device in question consists of at least three rods passing through a ring to which these rods are articulated, so that, in the non-deployed position of the device, the aforesaid rods extend substantially parallel to the one to the other, while ', in the deployed position or service position of the device, the aforementioned rods form the edges of two pyramids with common one, one of which is reversed with respect to the other, a retaining member being provided to retain the bottle or the like in the aforementioned inclined position.
According to a feature of the invention, one of the aforementioned rods, which are advantageously three in number, consists of two parts, a first part of which passes through the aforesaid ring and is articulated beyond the latter to the second part bearing to its free end a retaining member for a bottle or similar container. This retaining member is preferably constituted by a ring provided free at the end / of the second part of the rod made up of two parts articulated to one another, the aforementioned ring

extending, in a plane substantially perpendicular to the axis of the second part of said rod. In the service position or the deployed position of the support device according to the invention, the neck of a bottle is engaged in the aforesaid retaining ring.
According to yet another feature of the invention, one of the two parts of the aforementioned two-part rod carries a stopper limiting the pivoting of the two parts relative to one another.
The rods can be articulated in the aforementioned common ring in various ways, but it is preferred, according to the invention, that each rod is carried, in this ring, by a radial pivot.
Other features and details of the invention will become apparent from the description of the drawings appended hereto, which represent schematically, and by way of example only, one embodiment of a device according to the invention.
In these drawings: FIG. 1 is a perspective view of the device in the service position or the deployed position; FIG. 2 shows, also in perspective, the support device in the deployed position; - Figure 3 is, on a larger scale, an elevational view partially showing the rod made up of two parts articulated to one another that the support device according to the invention comprises, and - Figure 4 is a sectional view transverse made in the ring of the device shown in Figures 1 and 2.
As shown in the drawings, the support device according to the invention comprises three rods designated respectively by the general reference notations 2, 3 and 4 @.

and passing through a common ring 5 to which rods are hinged, as will be described later with reference to Figure 4. Figures 1 and 2 clearly show that the rods 2, 3 and 4 have part s' extending from one side of the ring 5 and extending to the other side of this ring.
In the deployed position of the device, which is illustrated in FIG. 1, the rods 2, 3 and 4 form two pyramids with triangular bases, which have a common apex and are inverted with respect to each other.
On the other hand, in the non-deployed position, the rods 2, 3 and 4 of the device extend substantially parallel to one another, as shown in FIG. 2.
At their lower end, the rods 2, 3 and 4 carry balls 19 intended to ensure better seating of the support device, for example on a table.
Figure 4 of the support device consists of two parts 6 and 7 hinged to each other. The part 6 extends beyond the ring 5 and is articulated by him pivot 8 to the part 7 of this same rod 4. The pivot 8 is carried by the two branches of a fork 9 provided at the end of part 6 of rod 4, this pivot 8 carrying, between the two branches of the fork 9, a small flange 10 provided at the adjacent end of part 7 of the rod 4. The flange 10 pre- feels a beak 11, which limits the pivoting of part 7 of rod 4 with respect to its part 6.
Figure 1 shows that the beak 11 of part 7 of the rod 4 bears against the part 6 of this rod, so that any subsequent pivoting of the part 7 relative to the part 6 of the rod 4 in the direction of the X deflection is impossible, the angle Ó between these two parts 6 and 7 always being greater than 90.
At the free end, part 7 of rod 4
<Desc / Clms Page number 4>
carries a ring 12 which extends in a plane substantially perpendicular to the axis of part 7 of rod 4.
FIG. 4 shows that the rods 2, 3 and 4 are mounted in the common ring 5 on radial pivots constituted by screws 13, 14 and 15 which each penetrate into a hole made in the rods 2, 3 and 4.
Figure 1 shows how a bottle 16 is supported by the device in the deployed position. The body of the bottle 16 is supported by the extensions of the rods 2 and 3, while the neck of the bottle is engaged in the retaining ring 12 provided at the upper end of the rod 4.
To adjust the flow rate of the liquid contained in the bottle, a stopper 17 of known type is provided thereon comprising a tap 18.
The support device according to the invention is particularly suitable for supporting a bottle of edible oil, when it is desired to prepare sauces, mayonnaise, etc.
