The present invention relates to a device for making telephone devices aseptic.
Various solutions have already been proposed with a view to avoiding the danger presented by the certain accumulation of microbes in headphones and microphones. However, these solutions have not been entirely satisfactory, in particular because they generally require the modification of existing telephone devices. The object of the present invention is to remedy this drawback.
To this end, the device according to the invention comprises buckets in which are placed, in the rest position, the earpiece and the microphone, these buckets being in connection with a space in which is placed a disinfectant product, trioxymethylene for example, which produces a gas evolution
In an advantageous embodiment, each cup is mounted on a chamber containing the disinfectant product.
In another particular embodiment, the two chambers are integral with a support plate on which the telephone apparatus rests.
Other details and features of the invention will emerge from the description of two embodiments of a compliant device. to the invention, description given below by way of nonlimiting example with reference to the accompanying drawings.
Figure 1 is a perspective view, partially broken away, of a device according to the invention.
FIG. 2 represents a telephone apparatus provided with the device of FIG. 1.
FIG. 3 is a front view of a wall telephone apparatus provided with a device according to the invention.
Figure 4 is a top view of the assembly of Figure 3.
In the various figures, the same reference notations designate similar elements.
The device shown in Figures 1 and 2 comprises a support plate 1, preferably rigid, made for example of synthetic material such as polystyrene. This plate rests on shock absorbers 2 made of elastic material, for example foam rubber.
The plate 1 is molded at the same time as two disinfection chambers 3 into which tablets of disinfectant product, such as 4, are introduced. For this purpose, trioxymethylene tablets are used with advantage. It should be noted that one can use a certain number of pellets but that one can also manufacture, for use in the device according to the invention, special pellets of sufficient size to occupy the entire bottom of the chambers 3. , which reduces the number of tablets to be used while allowing optimum use of the chambers in question.
On the chambers 3 are mounted cups 5 of flexible material, for example, flexible synthetic such as polyethylene. These cups are retained on the chambers 3 by an annular projection 9. They have on their internal surface an annular bulge 6 having a U-shaped section, which allows the introduction and maintenance of a translucent disc 7 pierced with holes. 8. In this way, the release of gas from the pellets 4 is transmitted into the cups 5 which constitute disinfection chambers.
The shape and the relative arrangement of the two cups 5 are such that a normal telephone apparatus 10 (figure 2), placed on the plate 1, is in the desired position so that the microphone 11 and the earpiece 12 are placed in the cups 5; the mouth of the latter is sufficient

big enough that there is between them and the microphone 11 and the earpiece 12, a certain play.
Thanks to the release of gas from the pellets 4, the microphone 11 and the earpiece 12 are disinfected each time the telephone apparatus 10 is not in operation, and after a few hours the asepsis is complete and remains so, the periods of non-functioning of the telephone apparatus being always amply sufficient to maintain asepsis.
One can associate with the plate 1 a telephone directory fixed on an extension of this plate, or a block or a notebook serving as memorandum.,
The device described can also be used for wall-mounted telephones o It is thus seen in FIGS. 3 and 4 a wall-mounted telephone apparatus 13 whose microphone 11 and the earpiece 12 are placed in the cups 3 of a device conforming to the invention which is fixed on a sheet of metal 14 fixed to the wall or to the partition which supports the apparatus 130
It should be understood that the invention is in no way limited to the embodiments described and that many modifications can be made to the latter without departing from the scope of the present patent.
