PERFECTIONNEMENT AUX BROSSES A DENTS.
La présente invention est relative aux brosses à dents et elle.' a plus spécialement pour objet une brosse à dents dont le manche ou la poignée est conformée de manière à comprendre une cartouche interchangeable contenant de la pâte dentifrice, des moyens étant prévus pour forcer la dite pâte à accéder à la tête de la brosse du coté des poils afin de fournir la quantité de pâte désirée pour effectuer un brossage des dents.
Une brosse à dents perfectionnée conformément à l'invention est d'emploi particulièrement avantageux en voyage, étant donné que brosse à dents et pâte dentifrice forment un ensemble inséparable, qui met à l'abri de tout oubli.
Le dessin annexé à ce mémoire montre, uiquement à titre d'exemple, une forme d'exécution d'une brosse équipée conformément à l'invention.

Comme le montre le dessin, la poignée de la brosse à dents est constituée par deux tronçons cylindriques 1 et 2 en matière plastique ou analogue se vissant l'un dans l'autre en 3. Le tronçon 1 se termine à sa partie supérieure par une petite douille filetée 4 sur laquelle se visse la tête''5 de la brosse à dent. Celle-ci est percée d'un canal 6 qui débouche au niveau de la base des poils 7.
Le tronçon 1 est destiné à loger une cartouche 8, contenant de la pâte dentifrice 9; cette cartouche présente à sa partie supérieure une embouchure 10, qui s'introduit dans la douille 4 du tronçon 1. La cartouche 8 est constituée en métal léger ou en matériau plastique ou analogue; son fond

8' est légèrement en retrait et réalisé en matériau spécialement mince de manière à pouvoir céder sous une pression réduite.
Ce fond 8' de la cartouche 8 est en effet conformé pour recevoir le bord supérieur d'un petit disque 11 qui se visse sur l'extrémité correspondante d'un piston 12 logé à l'intérieur du tronçon 2. Ce piston, de section rectangulaire, peut coulisser dans un manchon 13 fixé à l'intérieur du tronçon 2 de la brosse sous le disque 11. Intérieurement il est taraudé pour recevoir la tête filetée 14 d'une tige centrale 15, qui est maintenue à l'intérieur du tronçon 2 par une cale 16 et présente un bout saillant 17 sur lequel est fixé un bouton moleté 18.
Une cartouche telle que 8 contenant la pâte dentifrice étant introduite, après débouchage, dans le tronçon supérieur 1 de la brosse, comme le montre-le dessin, on visse sur ce dernier le tronçon inférieur 2. Ensuite, on agit sur le bouton moleté 18 pour faire tourner la tige 15, qui fait avancer le piston 12 vers le haut de façon que son disque supérieur 11 déchire le fond 8' de la cartouche et, pénétrant dans celle-ci, force la pâte dentifrice à s'écouler dans le conduit 6 de la tête 5 de la brosse et à s'étendre à la base des poils de celle-ci. A mesure que la cartouche 8 se vide, le piston 12 montera à l'intérieur de celle-ci pour en expulser la pâte dentifrice.
La cartouche épuisée, on fera tourner le bouton moleté 18 en sens contraire pour ramener le piston 12 à l'intérieur du tronçon 2, de façon à permettre le dévissage des deux tronçons 1 et 2 de la poignée et le remplacement de la cartouche vidée par une cartouche remplie.
Pour raison d'hygiène, la tête de la brosse est protégée par une enveloppe 19 en matériau plastique ou analogue.
Il est bien entendu que l'on ne sortirait pas du domaine de l'invention en apportant au dispositif décrit ci-dessus des modifications purement constructives.
REVENDICATIONS.
1. Brosse à dents caractérisée en ce que sa poignée est conformée de manière à recevoir une cartouche à pâte dentifrice interchangeable, des moyens étant prévus pour amener ladite pâte à la base des poils à mesure des besoins.

TOOTHBRUSH IMPROVEMENT.
The present invention relates to toothbrushes and it. more specifically relates to a toothbrush whose handle or handle is shaped so as to include an interchangeable cartridge containing toothpaste, means being provided to force said paste to access the head of the brush on the side of the bristles to provide the desired amount of paste for brushing teeth.

As shown in the drawing, the handle of the toothbrush consists of two cylindrical sections 1 and 2 made of plastic or the like which are screwed into one another at 3. The section 1 ends at its upper part with a small threaded socket 4 onto which the head '' 5 of the toothbrush is screwed. This is pierced with a channel 6 which opens out at the level of the base of the bristles 7.
The section 1 is intended to house a cartridge 8, containing toothpaste 9; this cartridge has at its upper part a mouth 10, which is inserted into the sleeve 4 of the section 1. The cartridge 8 is made of light metal or plastic or the like; its background

8 'is slightly recessed and made of a specially thin material so as to be able to yield under reduced pressure.
This bottom 8 'of the cartridge 8 is in fact shaped to receive the upper edge of a small disc 11 which is screwed onto the corresponding end of a piston 12 housed inside the section 2. This piston, of section rectangular, can slide in a sleeve 13 fixed inside the section 2 of the brush under the disc 11. Internally it is threaded to receive the threaded head 14 of a central rod 15, which is held inside the section 2 by a wedge 16 and has a protruding end 17 on which is fixed a knurled knob 18.
A cartridge such as 8 containing the toothpaste being introduced, after unblocking, into the upper section 1 of the brush, as shown in the drawing, the lower section 2 is screwed onto the latter. Then, the knurled button 18 is acted on. to rotate the rod 15, which advances the piston 12 upwards so that its upper disc 11 tears the bottom 8 'of the cartridge and, entering it, forces the toothpaste to flow into the duct 6 of the head 5 of the brush and to extend to the base of the bristles thereof. As the cartridge 8 empties, the piston 12 will rise inside it to expel the toothpaste.
When the cartridge is exhausted, the knurled knob 18 will be turned in the opposite direction to bring the piston 12 back inside the section 2, so as to allow the two sections 1 and 2 to be unscrewed from the handle and the replacement of the emptied cartridge by a filled cartridge.
For reasons of hygiene, the head of the brush is protected by a casing 19 of plastic or similar material.
It is understood that one would not depart from the scope of the invention by making purely constructive modifications to the device described above.
CLAIMS.
1. Toothbrush characterized in that its handle is shaped so as to receive an interchangeable toothpaste cartridge, means being provided to bring said paste to the base of the bristles as needed.
