  PORTE-BOUTEILLES

 <Desc/Clms Page number 2>

  BOTTLE RACK
The present invention relates to bottle carriers made of cardboard or any other material, the various elements of which can be folded flat in order to allow them to be transported and stored in a small volume.

   Its aim is to create utensils of this type which differ from those already known by their great simplicity of design while ensuring perfect stability of the objects transported and a good appearance of the whole in the transport position.

   This bottle holder which may be suitable for other uses (transport of jars, flasks, etc.) is essentially characterized in that it consists of two identical contiguous parts obtained 'each', from a single sheet of cardboard or any other material each comprising a rectangular or square face which is folded over from its lower edge to give rise, on the one hand, laterally to an element whose outline is substantially that of a rectangular parallelepiped and, on the other hand, in the extension of this element and upwards to an end tab made integral with the upper part of the rectangular or square face.

   An exemplary embodiment will be described below without limitation, with reference to the accompanying drawings.

   FIG. 1 shows in perspective each of the identical elements of which the bottle holder is formed.

   Figure 2 shows in perspective the entire bottle holder, the two parts being assembled.

   FIG. 3 is a schematic view showing the utensil in its loading position.

   Figure 4 shows the bottle holder in its folded position.

 <Desc / Clms Page number 2>

   As emerges from the drawings, the bottle holder object of the invention consists of two identical parts A and A which each comprise a rectangular or square face 1 formed by a sheet for example of cardboard which is folded over from the lower edge of this face to give rise on the one hand laterally to an element B-B1 whose contour is substantially that of a rectangular parallelepiped and on the other hand upwards in the extension of this element to a tab 2 next to face 1.

   The tabs 2 and the faces 1 in their upper part are made integral, for example by means of staples 3, two or a certain number of which are arranged on the fold 31 so as to give rise to a reinforced part G ( Fig. 2) consisting of four layers of cardboard or other material each pierced at corresponding locations with a slot 4 serving as a handle.

   Element B or B1 comprises a bottom 5, an outer face 6 and an upper face 7 pierced with holes 8 for the passage of bottles, flasks, jars, etc.

  A particularity of the object is that the upper face of the parallelepipedal element is connected to the tab 2 by a folded lip 7 and that the total width of this lip and of the face 7 is greater than that of the bottom 5 in such a way that when the bottle holder is loaded (figure 3), the lip 71 and the face 7 are in the extension of one another in an inclined position (72 (fig. 3) while the bottom 5 is horizontal.

  This difference in length ensures the wedging of the bottles as shown in figure 3
Figure 4 shows that the assembly can be made easily transportable flat by folding the face 7 upwards around the fold 9 and bringing the faces 5 and 6 in the extension of one another while both being in contact with the lower part of face 1.

   Thanks to the invention, it is therefore possible to create a bottle holder which, while being of very simple design and construction, ensures perfect stability of the bottles or other containers and has a very solid gripping member.

   In order to make it possible to stack a certain number of bottle carriers in the filled state, the over-thickened part can be provided along its length with a fold 10 so as to allow the folding of two legs 11. which can be used (fig. 2A) to support a similar bottle holder placed on these legs while being supported by the bottles of the underlying support.
