DISPOSITIF D'ENTRAINEMENT A GRIFFES*

CLAW TRAINING DEVICE *
Already known are claw drives for hay, straw and other crop products, in which said products are taken up by a cylindrical drum and then carried by a conveyor device attached thereto. These sling driving devices have various drawbacks and in practice they easily produce windings and, moreover, the aforementioned products catch under the side plates and get caught under the support shoes. drive drums are provided with teeth or claws on their periphery, the movements of which are controlled.,
In order to be able to introduce the teeth or claws with their distribution device, into the drums,
the latter must be established in two halves which are brought together and fixed together in the assembly, then the two halves in question receive an angular bending, the meeting being made by screws. But these protruding angular parts catch the crop products which are then easily taken away and finally wrap around the drum and cause disturbances in the work. In the known devices, the support shoes are arranged at the two ends of the side plates. This position of the hooves is often an occasion for disturbance, because the material to be dragged clings under them and rubs more and more; this leads to clogging of the drum. This is particularly the case when the passes are too wide in relation to the drum.
The aim of the invention is to remedy these drawbacks and to lead to a device which provides irreproachable work without disturbance. for this, the two halves of the drum are provided on their generators with eyelets of the hinge type. Following the assembly of the corresponding parts, the two drum halves are brought together and connected by means of a metal wire, which is passed through the eyelets formed by folding.

by this arrangement, the body of the drum remains smooth, The attachment of the conveyor device can therefore be made closer to the drum. By this arrangement and execution, winding of the conveyor device remains virtually impossible.
To prevent material from getting stuck under the support shoes, the latter are arranged in such a way that they rest inside the extent of the drum's grip, so where it is no longer. possible for these materials to get caught under the support shoes since they have already been removed. The shoes can be fixed under the drum or behind. him.
In the accompanying drawings there is shown an exemplary embodiment, namely Figures 1 and 2, the old construction, respectively in cross section and in elevation; Figures 3 and 4, the new construction, respectively in section and in elevation; Figure 5 shows the old construction of a feed dog drum and Figure 6 the new construction of a feed dog drum.
The feed dog drum, a, is provided with controlled teeth or claws b. The connection of the two drum halves takes place in such a way that a bolt ± passes through eyelets c ', folded over on both sides.
Figures 3 and 60 The connection of the two drum halves is denoted by c in the old version.
The evacuator device e can, as required, be brought both to the high position i and to the low position h.
The side plates f are, in the new version, held lower than the upper edge of the driving device in position i and thus the products to be driven cannot be held on the side plate.
The support pads, d, are arranged in such a way that they are located under or in front of the drum a but in the space reserved for the drive.
