Description

   <Desc/Clms Page number 1>

    I.-   Système de   construction.

 <Desc/Clms Page number 2>

  A lounge chair and wheelchair for rest in all positions, allowing the movement of sick, infirm or convalescent patients.

    I.- Construction system.

  This chair consists of several assemblies and a strong canvas intended to receive the human body in all positions from 20 to 70 degrees of inclination. The principle of this chair lies in the trapezoidal movement of the uprights which are partially fixed and partially pivoting on axes.

  The inclination is obtained by simply pressing the back on the canvas and abandoning the lower limbs. Stabilization (obtained in all positions by simple balance of the body. The starting position is the sitting position. At maximum extension the body is lying at 70 degrees.

  This multipurpose chair has, on each side, an armrest cuff for the rest of the upper limbs.

  A removable and mobile parasol optionally completes the lounge chair.

  2. - Use on a rolling stretcher.

  The back of the chair has two casters. The person resting in the eaise can easily be placed in a full horizontal position by a third party, lifts the chair at the level of the feet. The chair can then roll like a stretcher. The weight of the body gives the required stability.

  3.- Different peculiarities of construction.

  This chair will be built in half-steel tubes covered with polished chrome, wood, and other suitable materials, in different colors and varnishes. All the angles will be curved in quarter round according to their degree and this, as regards the construction. metallic.

  The nuts used for assembly will be half encrusted in the axles and each nut head will be domed in order to avoid injury to the rough edges. The mobile parasol will automatically follow the inclination degrees of the chair, thanks to a pair of spring hinges attached to the backrest, as well as two spring cables that allow the tilting movement to be followed and adjusted.

  The chair can be folded and unfolded by simply shifting two hinged tenants located on each side. In the closed position the lounge chair is completely flat. The strong canvas for the utility of the chair is attached by a series of clasps or staples allowing it to be easily removed for maintenance or replacement.

    4.- Explanation of the diagram.
