<Desc/Clms Page number 5>

"Process for preparing fluorinated dental cleaning compositions".
The invention relates to a method for preparing dental cleaning compositions containing fluorine to which animal material has been added.
It is already known to add fluorine-containing substances, such as NaF, to dentifrices. In addition to inorganic fluorine salts, animal products are also available, which

are fluorinated, added to dentifrices. For example, sepia powder is used as a polishing agent, while incinerated animal bones and teeth in the form of charcoal have been added.
These known methods show only insofar as

<Desc / Clms Page number 5>
Due to the fact that, according to the invention, the fluoride is present in an organ-therapeutic, natural form, its potential is great even at a relatively low actual fluoride concentration. This is a consequence of the fact that the other substances necessary for the construction and chemistry of the teeth are also present in the animal teeth.
At the beginning of caries in the teeth, the permeability of the precarious site is greater, which makes it easier, through the external addition, i.e. through direct contact with the teeth, the substances necessary for the teeth. to feed.
While so in the above specifically spoken. is about the fluorine dosage, the considerations apply more generally also to the other components of the animal teeth, especially the enamel thereof. In precarious places, the moisture flow in the teeth is less than in healthy places. By administering the animal teeth, the moisture circulation increases, so that the substances necessary for the construction are transported better and faster.
These conditions can be utilized by additionally fluoriding the dentifrice according to the invention in a manner known per se. As a result of the increased moisture circulation in the dental teeth, the fluorine ion is rapidly transported, so that a very effective fluoridation is obtained at a low actual concentration of free fluorine ions.
When carrying out the method according to the invention, the unassified, elegant teeth can be ground and processed into powder. It is also possible to work with solvents and to create a powdery precipitate after dissolution of the teeth. The natural character of the animal teeth naturally serves the purpose of such an operation
