The present invention relates to a circuit breaker and more particularly to circuit breaker boxes with magneto-thermal protection.
In a general way, the fuses need to be replaced as soon as they are out of order, which is expensive and very unpleasant, especially because of the fact that spare fuses are not always available. In addition, some lines are not always subjected to uniform tension so that the fuses blow quite often.
Circuit breakers have already been provided to replace fuses, but these are of a complicated mechanism, so that they are subject to rapid wear. And, in the event of faults, it is difficult to find them. the cause..
EMI1.3
The present invention aims to obv: 'ier to these multiple drawbacks by allowing, .by the attribution' of several functions to the same member, '. lower under the attraction of coil 5 for example and thus disengage from the contactor.
A pawl 17 pivoting around an axis 18 finding its bearings in the frame 10, is constantly brought down, by a spring 19 'to bear on a stop 20 provided on the rod 11 when that -ci is moved when pushing button 16. On ,. the pawl 17 is pivotally mounted on a trigger button 21 which allows the pawl to be released from the stop 20, the rod 11 then resuming its rest position under the action of a spring 22,
To engage the circuit breaker, push button 16 fully down until you hear a locking noise corresponding to the locking pawl 17 against stop 20.
Le'bouton 16 wedged sur.la rod 11 carries with it the latter which in turn drives the guide 12 'carrying the contact 14 and pushes it against the pads 9 and 15 thus closing the circuit which is established as follows: input of the current via plug 2 @ then successively 'via coil 5,' the resistance
7, pin 9, contact '14, pin 15 and exit the circuit breaker by plug 3. @
The rod 11 and the guide 12, under the effect of the springs and 13 tend to resume their initial position but cannot do so because of the pawl 17 in contact with the stop 20 provided in the rod 11.
This pawl carries the spring on its axis
19 which aims to precipitate it against the stop and keep it there.
During a short circuit in the circuit breaker circuit, the coil 5 which is formed of coarse wire and has a low number of turns ,. gives hardly any flux when the normal current crosses it, but receives during a short circuit a very intense current producing instantaneously a subscribing flux strong enough to attract the rod '11 which is in magnetic material and release it from the guide, 12.,
The movement of the rod 11 towards the reel has been made possible by the increase in one of the soft openings made in the frame 10 and in which said rod slides. '
The rod 11, by freeing itself from the guide 12, allowed the latter to return to its initial position under the effect of the spring 13 thus instantly cutting the circuit.
Returning to its initial position, the guide 12 which carries a stud 23 abuts a horn 24 forming an integral part, with the pawl 17, and, disengages against a corn simply by the pressure of the spring 13, the latter of the ' rod 11 which, under the effect of the spring 22, resumes its original position, thus returning the circuit breaker to the reclosing position. '
If it happens that one engages while a short-circuit exists on the line, the rod 11 will be attracted as in the case of a short-circuit after -l 'engagement and that in spite of exerting pressing the button and the button will return to its engaged position as soon as this pressure ceases.
In the case of a @ line after switching on;
In the event of an overload on the line after switching on: dangerous overload for the installation but insufficient for the triggering of the device 'by the effect' of the flux produced by the coil .5, the abnormal current passing through by resistance oh-
