La présente invention a pour objet un avant-train pour l'a- limentation de cardes et semblables, caractérisé par le fait que le cylindre arracheur ou introducteur, au lieu d'être mu- ni de dents de scie, comme d'habitude, est garni avec des poin- tes rondes aiguisées en forme d'aiguilles et inclinées dans le sens de la rotation de ce cylindre. La décharge des fibres audit cylindre introducteur est réalisée par une brosse nettoyeuse en soies, douée d'une vitesse périphérique supérieure à celle du cylindre même. La dite brosse pénètre entre les pointes du cy- lindre et cède ces ,fibres,, épurées des substances étrangères, à un ou plusieurs cylindres transporteurs, du type usuel, qui les transportent sur le grand tambour de la carde, tandis que les substances étrangères sont lancées loin en sens tangentiel.

Une forme d'exécution de l'objet de l'invention est montrée, schématiquement et à seul titre d'exemple dans le dessin annexé dans lequel: - La fig.l montre l'ensemble de l'avant-train en coupe longitudinale; - les fig.2 et 3 montrent des variantes relatives au dispositif alimentaire de la nappe de fibres au cylindre introducteur.
Suivant la forme d.'exécution montrée à la fig. 1, la nappe -a- est transportée par le ruban sans fin 1 et introduite en- tre la paire de cylindres pré-alimentaires 2,3, lisses du rayés, tournants dans le sens indiqué par les flèches.De cette paire de cylindres la nappe passe entre les cylindres alimentaires 4 et et est saisie .ensuite par le.cylindre 6. Du dernier cylindre alimentaire 6 les fibres -a'- sont cédées au cylindre introducteur 7 lequel, en conformité à la présente invention, est garni avec des pointes rondes 7' aiguisées en forme d'ai- guilles inclinées dans le sens de la rotation. La vitesse pé- riphérique du cylindre 7 étant, comme d'habitude, supérieure à celle des cylindres alimentaires, les aiguilles 7' emportent la matière fibreuse -a'- et, en.pénétrant profondément dans celle-ci, ouvrent et peignent les fibres. Il est évident que l'invention n'est nullement limitée aux dispositions schématiques ci-dessus déctites et représentées, nais que, sans s'écarter de son principe, pourra subir toutes modifications selon les exigences de la pratique.
