Abstract
De huidige uitvinding heeft betrekking op een werkwijze voor het extraheren van fenolische aldehyden uit een lignocellulose biomassa, omvattende de volgende stappen: (i) het mechanochemisch laten reageren van de lignocellulose biomassa met een droge base, waarbij de lignocellulose biomassa onder druk wordt geagglomereerd met de droge base om geagglomereerde lichamen te vormen; en (ii) oxidatieve verwerking van de geagglomereerde lichamen, omvattende de stap van het koken van genoemde geagglomereerde lichamen gedurende een voldoende tijdsperiode om fenolische aldehyden uit genoemde geagglomereerde lichamen te extraheren, waarbij de lignocellulose biomassa deriveerbaar is van één of meer kruidachtige gewassen, en waarbij genoemde droge base een droog anorganisch oxide, een droog anorganisch hydroxide of een mengsel daarvan is.The present invention relates to a method for extracting phenolic aldehydes from a lignocellulosic biomass, comprising the following steps: (i) mechanochemically reacting the lignocellulosic biomass with a dry base, wherein the lignocellulosic biomass is agglomerated under pressure with the dry base to form agglomerated bodies; and (ii) oxidative processing of the agglomerated bodies, comprising the step of cooking said agglomerated bodies for a sufficient period of time to extract phenolic aldehydes from said agglomerated bodies, wherein the lignocellulosic biomass is derivable from one or more herbaceous plants, and wherein said dry base is a dry inorganic oxide, a dry inorganic hydroxide or a mixture thereof.
