Abstract
De huidige uitvinding betreft een werkwijze voor het testen van een anti-coccidiaal middel bij pluimvee, omvattende het voorzien van een anti-coccidiaal middel aan een pluimvee testgroep gedurende een behandelperiode, het inoculeren van deze pluimvee testgroep met een bepaalde dosis oöcysten in de behandelperiode, het bepalen van de infectiegraad in de pluimvee testgroep op het einde van de behandelperiode, het vergelijken van de infectiegraad in de pluimvee testgroep met de infectiegraad in een geïnoculeerde pluimvee groep die niet voorzien is van het anti-coccidiaal middel, waarbij de oöcysten verkregen worden door het isoleren en repliceren van een veldisolaat van één of meerdere Eimeria spp., waarbij het veldisolaat afkomstig is uit een geïnfecteerde pluimveestal en waarbij een anticoccidiaal middel geselecteerd wordt dat werkzaam is tegen het geïsoleerde veldisolaat om de infectiegraad van Eimeria spp. in voorgenoemde geïnfecteerde pluimveestal te verbeteren.
