Fig. 3.
Fig. 4.
Process for the controlled irradiation of materials by an artificial intelligence. Object of the invention
Process for raising the temperature of any materials and / or materials - whether or not they are used in industrial processes - by microwave or high-frequency irradiation and by any other energy supply process acting simultaneously or not. During the process of temperature rise, the energy sources are controlled by an artificial intelligence indicating the optimal method of heating according to the nonlinear (Hysteresis) or linear curve, the temperature rise and the linear curve. or not, cooling. STATE OF THE ART Many industrial techniques already exist for heating materials by microwaves.
So far, however, no method of temperature control has allowed constant and automatic consideration of the evolution over time of the shape of the nonlinear temperature rise curve.
(hysteresis) or linear.
Microwave irradiation causes physical inhomogeneities and changes in the thermal parameters of the elements to be heated.
The invention relates to irradiation controlled by an artificial intelligence of the temperature rise of materials irradiated by microwaves or by high frequencies during the nonlinear phase (hysteresis) of temperature rise and during the linear phase or not of cooling. The study of the evolution of the temperatures as well as the spatial distribution of these in the furnace will make it possible to control the thermal parameters of the materials during the heating.
The process takes place in several stages: - the determination of the temperature rise curve of the materials subjected to irradiation or any other heating technique its mathematical modeling in real time by a system of measurement of the temperatures (Infra red or other) the artificial intelligence analysis of the data communicated by the measurement system and the management of the correlative furnace to the result of the analysis.
- The determination, control and management by the artificial intelligence of the optimal thickness of the material and / or materials to be irradiated according to the energy usefully consumed.
- The determination and control by the artificial intelligence of the cooling curve of materials and / or materials subjected to the process. - Secure management of volatile materials emitted during the process. Technological innovation, purpose, characteristic elements: The control, by thermal analysis, of the drying of materials subjected to microwaves. The determination of the thermal hysteresis of materials irradiated by microwaves.
From a scientific point of view, hysteresis means the fact that the equilibrium state of a system depends on the path followed by this system to reach equilibrium. It can be said that the rise in temperature of any material induced by the external supply of calories is linear and responds to the laws of thermodynamics. Example: fig 1.
This is not the case for the temperature rise of a material or a material subjected to microwave radiation. Indeed, studies have shown that the temperature rise curve as a function of the dissipated energy is not linear.
It is nonlinear (bistable) and corresponds to a hysteresis curve. Fig 2 (a: theoretical (mathematical) curve, b: microwave temperature rise, c: practical (real) curve, d: bi stability of the irradiated material, e: energy)
The problem is that this type of material feature is not yet very well known. One of the aims of the invention is to determine the stability curve of the different materials and materials useful on the market and requiring drying or polymerization.
Each material, each material has its own temperature rise curve due to the specific heat or heat of each element. This curve reflects the amount of heat energy (or thermal energy) needed to raise each gram of material by one degree.
For example, different amounts of heat energy (heat) are needed to raise one kilo of A to one kilo of B or one kilo of C to one degree. Fig. 3. These curves are plotted according to scientific measurements made in laboratories on the basis of a heating of the material by a supply of external energy (which does not come from the material itself). For example, an electrical resistance immersed in water transmits the heat energy it produces to the surrounding water by conduction. The heating of the material by microwave irradiation does not provide heat energy.
It is the matter that is subject to the electromagnetic fields that sees its molecules stir between them and it is the friction of these molecules that generates a release of heat. This release of heat comes from the material and not from the outside.
The observation of the temperature rise curves of a microwave material or material is quite different from what is customary to see. Fig. 4.
This curve can be divided into three parts: Part A, similar to a classic progression of temperature rise is not constant in its progression (it is not linear) and changes abruptly (part B) in jumping abruptly from point 1 to point 1 and then resumes a classical tendency of 2 to 2 '(part C). We are in the presence of a thermal bi stability (hysteresis).
In the imaginatively quantized graph (FIG 5) a material of mass M is brought from the temperature T1 to the temperature T. This requires a quantity of energy W in Joule (J).
If the energy supply is done by a traditional method (conduction ...) you have to take into account the curve A (in gray) and read that the energy spent to reach T4 is equal to »WW [iota]» either: WM.
If the energy supply is done by microwave irradiation, the value of WM will be:
"W2-W1" + IW3-W2I + IW4-W3 "I which is smaller than M we can even say that WM- is smaller than M of" W3'- 31 or WM = WM- + "3 -W3 ».
The graph will look like this: fig. 6 Microwave heating will be used to reach point T3. After that, conventional heating will be used to reach point T4. As long as an application finds its needs at temperatures beyond T3
Let us stop on the jump from T2 to T3, hysteresis limit points. Assuming a classical energy input, this will be "W3.-W2" or X units on the scale. If the energy supply is done by microwave, for the same rise in temperature, the energy absorbed will be "W3-W2" or Y units on the scale. It is obvious that »W3- 2 'is smaller than' W3 - W2 'In this part of the curve (hysteresis) it is more profitable to use microwave energy rather than a conventional energy input.
As for the shape of the curve in the case of the cooling of the material M (not subject to the effects of microwaves), while the heating has taken place under microwave effect, the cooling is linear: it does not does not follow the microwave heating curve which is quite normal since the material is no longer subjected to microwaves.
As for the part of the curve between T2 and T3 (Figure 7), if the temperature rise curve is steep between 2- 3 and + - right, the cooling curve, it is of gentle slope and a look quite different from that of the heating curve.
The purpose of the invention is there: it concerns the part of the cooling curve called x - x '. This part of the curve has the particularity of having its starting point at the top of the fast heating curve and its arrival is the starting point of the heating curve. These points x - x 'actually correspond to the start and the end of the temperature jump generated by 2 - 3. Once the point x reached, the microwave transmitter must be stopped, to start a conventional heating if necessary.
If a rise in temperature is no longer necessary, the temperature reached T3 can be maintained by restarting at the point x 'the microwave irradiation.
In the case of evaporation of liquid at temperatures between T2 and T3, the evaporation temperature can be maintained at lower energy cost by irradiating the material between these two particular points and if necessary at different pressures or even in the vacuum to stay in the hysteresis part. Two important findings result from the above:
A. The energy required to maintain a mass M at a temperature between T2 and T3 will be less important by microwave irradiation than by a conventional heating method, particularly in the hysteresis plot.
B. To bring the mass M of the temperature Ti to T4, the energy input W will be smaller by microwave heating than by conventional heating.
In order to be able to quantify the gain in energy and to specify the temperatures between which this gain can be manifested, it is necessary to determine the temperature rise curves of the materials likely to be heated (drying, polymerization, dilation ...) and this under microwave irradiation (see claims).
To determine these curves and make them interactive with microwave power supplies, or other types of heating, an intelligent measurement system using various infrared or other measurement technologies will be used. These measurements and interactions are done in real time to guarantee the shortest possible machine inertia over time. The purpose built furnace interacts with the measuring station and features conventional heating technologies
(electrical resistance, ...) and / or microwaves and / or HF.
