Abstract

The stop (1) has a hollow volume made of plastic material or polymer, and provided with opposed slits for retaining a cutlery handle (3) at an edge of a recipient. The slits have walls spaced from each other when a pressure is exerted between ends (4) of the slits such that the slits form jaws (5) to introduce the handle. The jaws are closed and lock the handle when the pressure exerted between the ends of the slits is released.

Description

Removable stopper The invention relates to a removable stop (1) that can be adapted to most sleeves (3) of cutlery to hold them at the edge (6) of the containers.

In the state of the art, patent GB126880 describes a hook screwed or riveted on the handle of a canopy. For this kind of application, the handle of the cover must be drilled opposite hook fasteners, which requires a specific cover for this system. In addition, the hook or the fasteners may injure the user. US Pat. No. 9612811 illustrates a handle that can be adapted to specific service cutlery and therefore can not be applied to most table cutlery.

A device for wedging a spoon or a stick in a container is the subject of patent WO 02058517. Here, the invention relates to a molded adaptation to the container, which requires exclusively the use of these containers to wedge the cover.

The utensil described in patent GB 2342565 for separating the handle from the operative portion of the cover to prevent the hand from sliding towards it, provides in a removable version, a flat disc or an element having a concave face positioned opposite the handle and attached thereto with a screw. In this position the utensil can not be used to hold the cover at the edge of a container because the weight of the handle would tilt it outside.

The present invention relates to a utensil adaptable to most table cutlery intended to hold them at the edge (6) of the container in which they are to prevent them from sliding inside thereof. that the handle (3) is stained by the content.

When preparing meals, a spoon or fork is usually used to handle foods that cook in pots and other containers. These cutlery inevitably end up slipping to the bottom of the container, or their handle becomes so hot that it is impossible to take them in hand, unless they are placed on the worktop and in this case, they clutter and defile this one. These same disadvantages occur during table service.

The invention overcomes these various disadvantages. Indeed, according to one of its features, it allows, by its adjustment, to form a stop on the handle (3) and prevent it from slipping. According to another of its characteristics, the stop (1) adapted to the handle (3) isolates it from heat. The abutment (1) consists of a hollow volume, illustrated by a sphere but which may be represented by any other shape, molded from plastic or other polymer, provided with two slots (2) pierced vis-à- screw. Simultaneous pressure between each of the ends (4) of the two slots (2) has the effect of jointly spacing the walls of said slots (2), thereby forming two jaws (5) for introducing a sleeve (3) of cover .

Releasing the pressure carried out previously, the jaws (5) formed by the two slots (2) close and grip the handle (3), making the abutment (1) integral therewith. The stop (1) can be adjusted by a simple pressure between the slots (2) to slide it to the desired location.

It can be seen in comparison with the other solutions proposed in the state of the art that this system allows, by the spacing of the slots (2), to adapt to virtually all existing cutlery on the market. Moreover, its use is very simple and does not require any additional fastening element.

The first slot (2) allows the introduction of the handle (3) and the second slot (2), once closed prevents the handle (3) out of the stop (1). Figure 1 illustrates the spacing of the walls of the slots (2) of the abutment (1) forming two jaws (5) and the handle (3) of a cover ready to be introduced.

Figure 2 illustrates the stop (1) provided with two slots (2). Figure 3 illustrates the stop (1) adapted to a sleeve (3) of cover and retaining it to the edge (6) of a container.
