Description
Lavagesteente voor massagedoeleinden
De uitvinding betreft een lavagesteente voor massagedoeleinden en meer in het bijzonder een poreus lavagesteente dat de eigenschap heeft vloeistoffen op te nemen teneinde ze gelijkmatig te verspreiden over een lichaam tijdens de behandeling.
De uitvinding betreft eveneens een werkwijze om een dergelijk lavagesteente te vervaardigen.
Massage van specifieke lichaamsdelen heeft hoofdzakelijk een ontspannende werking, maar kan ook voor therapeutische doeleinden gebruikt worden. Er is dan ook een grote verscheidenheid aan massage instrumenten beschikbaar, meestal in kunststof of metaal, maar ook het gebruik van: natuurlijke materialen zoals hout, steen,... is gekend. De vorm van deze instrumenten dient veelal aangepast te zijn aan het te behandelen lichaamsgedeelte.
Momenteel is het gebruikelijk om de zogenaamde hot stone massage toe te passen op een lichaam. Deze techniek betreft het behandelen van een lichaam met zwarte basalt stenen die opgewarmd kunnen worden tot een temperatuur van om en bij de 60[deg.]C.
Deze stenen zijn afkomstig van rivierbeddingen en worden onder invloed van de watererosie tot platte lichamen gevormd.
Het is eveneens gekend in de stand der techniek om puinsteen (pumice) te gebruiken voor het verwijderen van droge huiddeeltjes of eelt. De huid wordt door het onregelmatig oppervlak van de puinsteen afgeschuurd.
Onze uitvinding heeft dan ook als doel een massage instrument te vervaardigen door middel van een poreus lavagesteente, met de eigenschap vloeistoffen op te nemen en deze over het te behandelen lichaam te verdelen en waarbij de vorm toelaat zich gemakkelijk over een lichaam te verplaatsen.
De uitvinding heeft als eerste voordeel dat. de therapeut het gevoel met het massage instrument beter behoudt. Door de vorm en zijn uitvoering wordt het contact met de huid en de onderliggende spieren beter onder controle gehouden.

Onze uitvinding betreft dus een poreus lavagesteente, dat bij voorkeur bolvormig vervaardigd is, en dat toelaat vloeistoffen op te nemen, alsook een werkwijze ter vervaardiging ervan.
De uitvinding wordt vervolgens in detail uiteengezet.
Het poreuze lavagesteente is bij voorkeur bolvormig. Deze vorm laat de therapeut toe diverse, snelle bewegingen uit te voeren op verschillende plaatsen van het lichaam.
De diameter van de bol kan aangepast worden al naargelang het te behandelen lichaamsgedeelte.
Het oppervlak van het bolvormige lavagesteente kan zowel ruw als glad uitgevoerd worden volgens de vervaardigingswijze.
Het lavagesteente is in staat vloeistoffen op te nemen en deze vervolgens over het lichaam gelijkmatig te verdelen tijdens de behandeling. Hierbij worden hoofdzakelijk oliën bedoeld, maar de uitvinding beperkt zich hier echter niet toe.
Bij een mogelijke uitvoeringsvorm worden ayurvedische oliën gebruikt. Hiermee worden hoofdzakelijk amandelolie, sesamolie en zonnebloemolie bedoeld, maar ook andere oliën komen in aanmerking zoals mosterdolie, tarwekiemolie en olijfolie.
Het bolvormige lavagesteente kan doordrenkt worden in een opgewarmde ayurvedische olie, die na uitdruppen op het lichaam aangebracht wordt. Ook het aanbrengen van de oliën kan geschieden met de gekende technieken waaronder ondermeer het verstuiven tot in de poriën van het gesteente.
In een andere mogelijke uitvoeringsvorm is het poreus lavagesteente cylindervormig. Door deze vorm kan een <EMI ID=2.1>
plaatsvinden.
De werkwijze voor het vervaardigen van een poreus lavagesteente dat zowel een cylindervormig of een bolvormige structuur heeft, gebeurt volgens de
volgende stappen : 1/uit een ruw blok lavagesteente worden cylindervormige staven geboord 2/vervolgens worden de staven op maat gezaagd 3/de cylindervormige staven kunnen glad geschuurd worden 4/indien men een bolvormig lichaam wenst te bekomen, wordt deze verder afgeschuurd tot de gewenste diameter 5/na het afschuren, worden de stenen in een olie gedrenkt en worden ze opgewreven.
Men kan het poreus lavagesteente afschuren tot men de gewenste gladheid bekomt.
Het is evident voor de vakman dat het afschuren zowel handmatig als machinaal kan gebeuren.

Our invention therefore has for its object to manufacture a massage instrument by means of a porous lava rock, with the property of absorbing liquids and distributing them over the body to be treated and whereby the shape allows it to move easily over a body.
The invention has the first advantage that. the therapist retains the feeling better with the massage instrument. Due to the shape and its design, contact with the skin and underlying muscles is better controlled.

Ayurvedic oils are used in a possible embodiment. This mainly refers to almond oil, sesame oil and sunflower oil, but other oils are also eligible such as mustard oil, wheat germ oil and olive oil.
The spherical lava rock can be soaked in a heated Ayurvedic oil, which is applied to the body after dripping. The application of the oils can also be done with the known techniques, including spraying into the pores of the rock.
