INJECTION DIRECTE DES GOUTTELETTES D'EAU DANS LA TURBINE A GAZ
DESCRIPTION

DIRECT INJECTION OF WATER DROPLETS IN GAS TURBINE
DESCRIPTION
1 - known installation of the gas turbine:
The gas turbine is generally known in aeronautical, marine, industrial or domestic applications. A known installation of the gas turbine consists of low - pressure gas compressors, combustion chamber and high - low pressure gas turbines (Figure 1).
The low pressure compressor (2) compresses the air from the inlet (1) and guides this air from the compressor outlet to the inlet (3) of the high pressure compressor (4), this second compressor compresses and increases the air pressure.
The compressed air by the high pressure compressor is guided to the combustion chamber via the outlet (5) of the high pressure compressor.
In the combustion chamber (7) takes place the combustion of this compressed air with the fuel supplied via the inlet (6).
After combustion, the flue gas exits the chamber and is guided into the high pressure turbine via the outlet of the chamber (8).
The burned gas drives the high pressure turbine (9) and the rotation of this turbine with its shaft. As the high pressure compressor is coupled with the high pressure turbine through the shafts, the high pressure compressor is then driven by the high pressure turbine to compress the air. The hot gas from the outlet (10) of the high pressure turbine is guided towards the inlet to the low pressure turbine and induces the rotation of this turbine (11) with its shaft.
As the low pressure compressor is coupled with the low pressure turbine through the shafts, the low pressure compressor is then driven by the low pressure turbine to compress the air.
The power output of the installation can be presented in various forms: aerodynamic thrust (12), mechanical / electrical power (14) by the turbine shaft (13).
The hot gas at the outlet of the low pressure turbine of the installation is generally more than 500 [deg.] C.
The residual energy in this hot gas is released into the atmosphere, explaining the low efficiency of the gas turbine installation and the air pollution at high and low altitudes it induces.
2 - Direct injection of water droplets into a gas turbine plant:
The present invention makes it possible to increase the efficiency of the conventional gas turbine by the direct recovery of the residual energy in the flue gas and also to reduce air pollution by direct injection of water by spraying it into the flue gas . The residual energy in the flue gas transforms the water droplets into steam, thus increasing the density of the hot gas mixture in the turbine as well as the mixing speed.
The output power of the installation can be presented in different forms: aerodynamic thrust, mechanical / electrical power by the turbine shaft. This installation can be used in aeronautical, marine, automotive, industrial or domestic applications (FIGS. 2A, 2B, 2C).
The invention is characterized in that the water vapor is formed directly in the hot gas by the direct spraying of water in the hot gas of the gas turbine.
The residual energy in the hot gas turbine gas is recovered in the steam, this steam will be mixed with the hot gas of the gas turbine by an air-steam mixer to form a homogeneous gas of higher density. great than air. The energy transmitted to the water vapor will then be recovered in the turbine.
The efficiency of the installation will therefore be increased and NOx pollution will be reduced.
The installation of the direct injection of water into the gas turbine includes a gas turbine unit, a steam turbine unit and a direct water injection unit. Three configurations of the installation are proposed:
A - Direct injection of the water droplets at the outlet of the combustion chamber (FIG. 2A):
The gas turbine unit is constructed at least with: low pressure high pressure compressors mounted on the low - pressure compressor shafts, the combustion chamber.
The steam turbine unit is constructed at least with:
steam pipes, pumps, heat exchangers, high - low pressure steam turbines mounted on high - low pressure shafts, steam condensers.
The direct circumferential spray unit of the fine droplets is constructed at least with: the injectors of the droplets transforming the water into steam, the steam-gas mixer.
The high pressure gas compressor (4) is driven by the high pressure steam turbine (9). The low pressure gas compressor (2) is driven by the low pressure steam turbine (11).
This means that the steam turbine, driven by the steam-gas mixture, drives the gas compressor to compress the air.
The atmospheric air (24) is heated through heat exchangers (25) in the condenser (18) before being returned to the inlet (1) of the low pressure gas compressor (2).
The low pressure gas compressor (2) compresses the air from the inlet (1) and guides this air through the outlet to the inlet (3) of the high pressure gas compressor (4) to further increase the pressure. J [lambda] oo <¯> / oLo [pound]
The high pressure air is then returned to the combustion chamber via the outlet (5) of the high pressure gas compressor (4).
In the combustion chamber (7), the combustion of this compressed air with the fuel supplied via the inlet (6) takes place.
After combustion, the flue gas exits the combustion chamber (7).
The direct circumferential spraying of the water by the injectors (15) sprays the supercharged water into fine droplets in the hot burned gas at the outlet (21) of the combustion chamber. As a result, the fine water droplets are transformed into water vapor.
The steam and the hot flue gas are fed to the mixer (16) via the outlet (22) to form a homogeneous mixture of steam - hot flue gas. The mixture thus formed is fed to the inlet of the high-pressure steam turbine (9) via the outlet (8).
The hot vapor-gas mixture drives the high-pressure steam turbine (9) and causes it to rotate about its shaft.
Since the high pressure gas compressor (4) is driven by the high pressure steam turbine (9), the high pressure gas compressor can compress the air to increase the pressure.
The hot steam-gas mixture at the outlet (10) of the high-pressure steam turbine arrives at the inlet of the low-pressure steam turbine (11) and induces the rotation of the latter around its shaft. Since the low pressure gas compressor (2) is driven by the low pressure steam turbine (11), the low pressure compressor can compress air from its air inlet to increase the air pressure.
The steam-gas mixture burned at the outlet of the low-pressure steam turbine then arrives in the steam pipes (17) and then in the condenser (18).
The heat exchangers (25) in the condenser are used to heat the atmospheric air (24) for the air at the inlet (1) of the low pressure gas compressor (2). The condensed water in the condenser (18) is pumped through the water lines (20) by the pumps (19) and through the water lines (23) to the injectors (15). The pumps (19), the condenser (18), the heat exchangers (25), the steam pipes (17) and the water pipes (20, 23) form a water - vapor closed circuit.
The efficiency of this installation is higher than that of the conventional installation.
The power output of the installation can be presented in various forms: aerodynamic thrust (12), mechanical / electrical power (14) by the turbine shaft (13).
