Zulke spuitkop is bijgevolg relatief duur.
<Desc/Clms Page number 2>
<Desc/Clms Page number 3>
<Desc/Clms Page number 4>
<Desc/Clms Page number 5>
<Desc/Clms Page number 6>

Adjustable spray head The invention relates to an adjustable spray head for a spray can or the like, more particularly a spray head such as is used for example for distributing liquid silicone or the like from a spray can, spray well or the like.
Spraying tubes are already known which are provided with an adjustable spraying head, for example as described in DE 34, 20 765 and DE 197.44.250.
A disadvantage of a spray head as described in DE 34. 20.765 is that the movable part of the spray head cannot be realized in one piece by injection molding, since the inner mold which during injection molding must form the cavity of the movable part does not pass the narrowed opening at the rotating end of this section can be removed. Such a nozzle is therefore relatively expensive.
Another drawback of this spray head is that, when the spray head is used, the movable part can rotate due to the pressure exerted, so that it is not possible to work accurately, which is moreover inconvenient.
A disadvantage of a spray head, as described in DE 197. 44.250, is that in the embodiment with a flexible part, this flexible part is back out of the silicone due to the pressure of the silicone or the like
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
The folded position is pushed in the axial direction, so that it is also not possible to work accurately with this nozzle.
The other embodiment of a spray head according to this document cannot be made in an economically viable manner and moreover has the disadvantage that the spray head can also rotate during use.
The invention relates to an adjustable spray head, wherein it is excluded that during use of the spray head, it can rotate and of which the rotatable part can be manufactured in one piece.
According to the invention, the adjustable spray head consists of at least two pieces, preferably only two pieces, which are rotatable relative to each other, a first piece being provided with means for mounting this piece on a spray tube, the first and the second are connected to each other by means of a click system, preferably a push-through system.
According to a first embodiment, the aforementioned first piece is provided with means for mounting this piece on a spray gun, with a passage and with a support surface, while the second piece is provided with an elongated spray channel and with a support surface in contact with the supporting surface of the first piece. The support surfaces of the first and second piece are rotatable relative to each other around
<Desc / Clms Page number 3>
an axis, said support surfaces lying substantially in one plane forming an angle with the axis of the elongated channel. The aforementioned surfaces of the first and the second piece are connected to each other by a click system, preferably a push-through click system.
Preferably, the support surface of the first piece has a multi-plane conical edge which cooperates with a multi-plane conical ring of the second piece.
According to an advantageous embodiment, the first piece has an inner support surface to which a support surface of the second piece connects, the second piece being provided with means for supporting itself on an outer surface of the first piece.
Preferably, the second piece is provided with an annular protrusion remote from the multi-plane conical ring, a slot being formed between the annular protrusion and the multi-plane conical ring, and wherein the multi-plane conical edge of the first piece is in the above-mentioned slot .
The invention relates to a spray gun which is provided with an adjustable spray head according to the invention.
With the insight to better demonstrate the characteristics of the invention, a preferred embodiment of an improved nozzle according to the invention is described below as an example without any limiting character.

invention with reference to the accompanying drawings, in which: - figure 1 represents a spray gun in perspective, which is provided with a spray head according to the invention; figure 2 represents the part indicated by F2 in figure 1 on a larger scale; figure 3 represents the spray head of figure 2 after rotation of the spray channel; figure 4 represents a view of the two parts of the spray head; figure 5 represents a section along the line V-V in figure 2; figure 6 represents a section according to the line VI
VI in Figure 3; figure 7 represents a cross-section according to the line VII-
VII of figure 4.
The spray duct or spray can 1 according to figure 1 is provided with a spray head 1A.
This spray head consists of a first part 2 which is intended to be screwed onto a projection 3 of the spray duct or spray can and a second part 4 which is rotatably mounted on the first part 2.
The first portion 2 forms an inner chamber 5 between the interior of the sleeve 1 and the inner channel 6 of the second portion 4.
<Desc / Clms Page number 5>
The first portion 2 has an inner support surface 7 that faces the chamber 5 and an outer support surface 8. The inner support surface 7 comprises at least a substantially conical edge consisting of a plurality of adjacent faces 9, 10, 11, etc.
The second portion 4 comprises a substantially conical end 12, which is formed by adjacent faces 13, 14, 15, etc., as well as an annular projection 16, a slot 17 being formed between this conical end 12 and the projection 16. The conical edge of the first portion 2 is inserted into the above-mentioned slot 17, the faces of the conical edge 7 cooperating with the faces of the end 12 and thus forming a snap system.
Part of the inner surface extends practically in a plane V-V. The axis of rotation A-A of the second part 4 is substantially perpendicular to this plane V-V, so that the spray head can be adjusted by turning. This axis of rotation AA also corresponds to the central axis of the conical edge 8 of the first part 2 and of the conical end 12 of the second part 4. The channel 6 of the second part has an elongated axis BB which forms an angle 18 with the axis of rotation AA.
In the present embodiment, the angle 18 is approximately 45, whereby, after rotation of the second portion 4 to 180 relative to the axis AA, the channel 6 of the second portion is moved through 90, namely, to the state in which the axis BB of the channel 6 is parallel to the axis of the first portion 2 (Figure 5) to one
<Desc / Clms Page number 6>
state in which the axis B-B is perpendicular to the axis (Figure 6).
The rotatable part 4 can be manufactured entirely by injection molding.
The swivel coupling is provided with several surfaces that allow the rotating part to be blocked in different positions, more specifically at different angles.
As a result of this multi-plane swivel coupling, the angle 18 can be changed stepwise with respect to the axis of rotation A-A. The multi-plane rotation prevents the set angle from turning during use. With a rotation of 180 from the starting position the maximum angle is obtained.
It is clear that the present invention is by no means limited to the embodiment described above and shown in the drawings, but an improved nozzle according to the invention can be realized in all shapes and sizes without departing from the scope of the invention.
