<Desc/Clms Page number 2>
instelbare kleur.
<Desc/Clms Page number 3>
<Desc/Clms Page number 4>
kleurfilters (1)(2)(3). Figuur 5 geeft een dergelijke uitvoering weer.

Method for a lighting device with color-adjustable ambient lighting and functional white lighting. Field of the invention
The invention relates to a method for making the color of the ambient lighting adjustable with the aid of a lighting device, while maintaining a white lighting on a different surface, for example as functional lighting. The purpose of setting the color is to influence the atmosphere of the surrounding space. A different surface area in the room remains neutrally lit.
State of the art
There is a new tendency to determine the atmosphere of the interior through colored lighting on white walls. If you can easily change the color of the lighting, the atmosphere can also be changed easily. This is less cumbersome than repainting walls with colored paint. On the other hand, you usually need white light on a functional surface to be able to properly observe objects in all shades of color. This functional surface can for example be a table surface. After all, during a meal, people want white light on the table surface to be able to observe food in a neutral way.
Document DE 100 56 745 describes an invention to achieve this with three linear fluorescent lamps in three basic colors, e.g., red, green and blue, in combination with a white fluorescent lamp.
The light from the lamps with the three basic colors is directed upwards to illuminate the environment with a
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
adjustable color. The color setting is done by mixing the three basic colors of the three colored lamps. This principle for color adjustment has been known for a long time; it is used, for example, in a pixel of a color television. In this invention there is also an additional white lamp that illuminates the functional surface.
There is also a tendency to realize color-adjustable lighting by combining red, green and blue LEDs. An example of this is document US6016038 for "Multicolored LED lighting method and apparatus". Many small light sources are used for this that together generate one adjustable color. This lighting technology is complex.
Object of the invention
The proposed method aims to achieve an adjustable colored lighting of the environment with a limited number of standard white lamps and at the same time a white functional lighting of a different surface with the same lamps. This leads to a minimal compact fixture with easily available white lamps.
Description of the invention
Figure 1 shows an implementation of this method. In the described embodiment, 3 dimmable white lamps are used (4) (5) (6). The side that distributes the color-adjustable light is provided with separate color filters (1) (2) (3) for each lamp. The color can then be adjusted by controlling the light intensity ratio of the three lamps. The best result is obtained by preventing the light from one lamp (4) or (5) or (6) from being filtered through multiple color filters (1) or (2) or (3). For this purpose, dividers are used
<Desc / Clms Page number 3>
(8) placed between the lamps. Screens (7) are placed on the sides to prevent the mixing of the filtered and unfiltered light. The other side of the device contains no or no different color filters.
On this side the lamps (4) (5) (6) therefore distribute the same color or white unfiltered light.
Figure 2 represents a variant embodiment in which a transparent plate (9) is arranged on the side of the color-adjustable light which spreads the light more widely in the environment. This can be achieved, for example, by using optical lenses, for example Fresnel lenses. On the other hand, techniques can be applied to reduce the light, adjust the color and / or better focus.
In figure 2, for example, a perforated plate (10) is arranged which reduces the light intensity.
Figure 3 and Figure 4 show versions with different lamp types. In Figure 3, linear fluorescent lamps are used. In this embodiment, the sometimes necessary ballasts, or ballasts (11), can be installed along the side walls. The advantages of the invention are also evident in this embodiment. All you have to do is have three standard fluorescent fluorescent lamps and the luminaire can be executed without dominating the environment too much.
Compact lamps are used in Figure 4.
It is also possible to achieve a better distribution of the colored light to the environment by using a reflective optic (12). This can be, for example, a ceiling optic (12) in a V-shape. In this embodiment, to have both sides of the V-shape (12) emit the same color, lamps (4) (5) (6) are arranged on both sides of the V-shape (6) with the same
<Desc / Clms Page number 4>
color filters (1) (2) (3). Figure 5 shows such an embodiment.
