Description
<Desc/Clms Page number 1>

Antitheft device for automobile or access control, based on the recognition of fingerprints captured by capacitive effect.
The invention relates to vehicles equipped with an engine or control access to premises.
Numerous antitheft devices or access control devices, operating electronically or by magnetic badges, or even by reading the fingerprints of the surface of the skin, are known.
The present invention consists in controlling the operation of an engine or the opening of a door, on the basis of the recognition of the authorized person (s), by checking their fingerprints, but not those of the surface of the skin, but those under the skin, between skin and flesh. This reading is possible, thanks to the use of a capacitive sensor type AFS 8500 which is the one used in the present invention. All the components are currently placed in a 55 x 88 case. 22 mm. These dimensions are indicative and can certainly be reduced. The casing has a window that allows you to place your finger on the AFS 8500 sensor.
The device that is the subject of the present invention is capable of storing 260 different fingerprints and is programmable to erase or add them by using an infrared remote control which transmits coded programming signals in the box, with a secret access code.
The FINGERPRINT box is connected to a box controlling the operation of the vehicle engine. Both boxes are managed by a secret PUK code to avoid any intrusion into the programming. The engine control box is connected to various elements of the vehicle.
If the driver who shows up is authorized, the vehicle will be able to move. If the driver who presents himself is an intruder, the vehicle can not be moved and even if the engine is running at the time of the intrusion, the latter will stop according to the planned schedule.
In the case of access control, using the housing object of the present invention, a door can open only after recognizing the fingerprints (located between skin and flesh) of the person authorized to enter.
Note: A fingerprint photo or a raised copy of a finger will not be accepted by the sensor used, unlike other commercially available sensors. The one described (AFS 8500) reacting only with capacitive effect only accepts a real finger, and is therefore exceptionally reliable.

DESCRIPTION: The AFS 8500 sensor used in the present invention is shown in 1.
The sensitive part 2 captures the information by capacitive effect deep into the skin of the finger (at 1 mm depth).
Only the image represented by the internal relief 4 is received by the sensor 2.
The recorded image corresponds to B and not to the surface image A.
The image passes into an analysis circuit 6 which codifies the image for the memory, in a non-volatile memory 7. The registered code no longer makes it possible to reconstitute the original fingerprint and therefore, there is no violation of private life. When presenting a finger on the sensor, the image seen is compared at 7 and is accepted if it was previously recorded, therefore, an acceptance signal is sent to the central unit 8.
This central unit responds to the following algorithm: If the fingerprints are recognized, it is possible to move the vehicle or open a door if it is the use in access control In the case of a lock vehicle, if after switching on the engine the driver leaves the vehicle, there will be immediately call to the identification of the authorized person by light signal. (Led) connected in 11. If the authorized driver places his finger on the sensor, it will be recognized (OK at 13), the engine will continue to turn and the vehicle will be able to move. If on the contrary, the driver is not recognized, (at 14), a signal is sent at 15. Therefore, the system is on alert.
At the slightest movement of the vehicle, a motion detector at 16 will conclude by giving information 17 that will stop the engine either immediately or following the prerecorded programming.
NOTE: The Smart Box allows you to select two types of conductors: 1. Those who are free to do anything.
2. Those who are not experienced and who for example are limited in speed. (which can be programmed using the infrared remote control).
